Zenith blinked in surprise at the word 'friend', but then smiled. She had never had very many friends, so hearing Max call her a friend made her happy. "Thanks, Max. I'm glad to be here, too. I agree, it's always more fun to do things with friends. I don't know what we'll find at Mount Moon, and I don't know if we'll be enough to stop it, but if we can get that key back and put a stop to it, then all the better."

The two of them continued along at a fairly fast pace, ignoring the trainers that hung out along Route 3. They navigated through a winding hedge maze with mounds of dirt and fencing impeding their way, making it difficult to walk through the maze. Suddenly, a group of Ledyba appeared in front of them.

Zentih sighed. This was going to slow them down, but the quicker they took care of the Ledyba, the sooner they could keep going. Zenith grabbed Calder's Poke Ball from her belt and threw it.

"Let's go, Calder!" Zenith said.

"Mar, Marill!" Calder cried as he appeared from his Poke Ball.

"Calder, focus on those two Ledyba!" Zenith said, pointing at the two pokemon in question.

The battles had been fairly quick, but Calder had taken a fair bit of damage himself.

"Good job, Calder, return," Zenith said, calling him back into his Poke Ball. Calder vanished into the device in a flash of red light, and Zenith clipped the ball back onto her belt. She hoped that by knocking out two of them, the other Ledyba would get the message and leave. Just in case, though, she got ready to call out another one of her pokemon.
