Sou had just come over to the team from the pokemon center when Max said "Breaks over.”, scratching the back of her head. She wasn’t surprised being they ended up taking a detour from their original mission. It was only natural that they’d get down to business and hopefully complete this mission. While it was to retrieve an artifact, she then started to wonder exactly what the artifact would be for and why it was so important? Unless it was stolen property from possibly a museum, in either case, they were still dealing with theft. Retrieving it was the right thing to do anyway. ”Probably best not to think too much on it…” she muttered to herself as she followed in the back of the group. As she walked, she looked around at their surroundings, not paying too much attention to Orion. She then smiled as she sped up her pace to walk alongside Zenith. It was a bit quiet and since they were out of danger, it seemed like a good time to chat, although she wasn’t too sure what to talk about. ”Hey, uh…..what’s your favorite type of pokemon?” she asked.

Zenith followed after Max as they headed back into Mount Moon, ignoring Orion before she clobbered him. His attitude was really pushing her limits. That was when Sou approached her and walked beside her.

”Hey, uh…..what’s your favorite type of pokemon?” Sou asked, apparently wanting to strike up some conversation.

Zenith smiled. "Well, being a psychic myself, I really like psychic-types. I like fairy-types as well, and that's why I caught that Igglybuff. But I also really like Riolu and Lucario, so I'm really happy I managed to get Kamau. I haven't contacted my parents since I got here, so maybe once this mission is over, I'll call them and show them my pokemon. My dad'll be amazed to see Kamau since he has a Mega Lucario himself. Lucario is one of his oldest pokemon, and they're a great team. Watching them battle together is what inspired me to go on a trainer's journey myself."

Memories of seeing her father, Saul, battle all kinds of different trainers went through her mind. She turned her head to look at Sou. "How about you? What are your favorite types of pokemon?"

Max fumbled through his pockets as he walked.
"Where the heck.." He said dropping some loose pieces of paper out of his pockets. Max wasnt always super organized. When he finally found a crumpled up piece of paper he pulled out.
"There you go.." He said realizing the others might his course of actions odd. He smiled looking over at them.

"I'm not sure I have a favorite type...I think if I had to be a gym leader it would be a steel gym...but I dont normally prefer any one type. My father was a normal gym leader...so I got a lot of experience with the normal type." Max said distractedly looking at the notes written down.

When they finally got back into the cave they followed the same path they did the first time which cut down on the travel time a lot. 40 minutes passed at the team had once again picked up the signal and followed it but this time to a dead end. As they stood there looking around Max checked out the walls running his hand along the edges.
"Its gotta be here.." He said looking for the source of the signal that was still causing them to feel a little off.


In a near by corner Zenth heard the strange sound



The sad little pokemon was hiding behind rocks crying.

Zenith followed Max through the tunnel, their pace much faster since they had already been through the area. They eventually came to a dead end, and Max began to look around, trying to find the machine that was giving off the sound that was causing their headaches.

Zenith began to look around as well, but then heard a strange noise. She followed the noise and looked behind some rocks, seeing a Cleffa crying. "Hey there, what wrong, little wrong?" she asked. She then very slowly reached out a hand and softly petted the Cleffa on the head. "It's okay, I won't hurt you."

She then turned to Max and Sou. "Max, Sou, come here! I found a Cleffa!" she called. She then turned back to the Cleffa. "It's okay, my friends and I can help you. Don't be afraid."

Sou smiled that Zenith didnt seem to mind her bringing up conversation as they traveled. It was actually nice to be able to talk to another girl and her age too! Sophia back home was nice and all, but she was a bit older then her. She listened to Zenith as she explained the types of pokemon she liked, smiling a bit more even as she talked about her family. Zenith’s family felt so…extraordinary, the best way she could think to put it at the moment. Both her parents were so accomplished and Zenith even had something like…super powers, well psychic powers to be exact. Thinking on, she wondered if that meant she was more in tune with psychic pokemon more then other types. ”I guess that does make sense that you would like psychic types as a psychic” she said, an inquisitive look on her face. ”Hey..since you’re a psychic..does that mean you are more….connected with psychic pokemon? she asked before finally pondering on the same question for a bit bit.

Sou smiled wide. ”Fairy types are my favorite hands down. I come from Laverre City, home of the fairy type gym after all” she said with a small chuckle. ”But I like all kinds of pokemon in general. But I’d say my top three favorites are Fairy, then Water and Psychic are tied, after that, even though I said three is definitely tied again with fire and fighting. Its really hard to choose you know?” she said laughing a bit when Max piped up. She had saw he was moving form the corner of her eye, but she hadn’t been paying attention all that much to what he was doing until he started talking. She looked over as he mentioned what type of gym he’d think he have if he was a gym leader and that he had experience with normal type pokemon. ”mmm…” she hummed as she thought a bit on that as they finally reached the cave entrance once more. ”Maybe I’ll ask later.” she thought, as they traveled for approximately 40 minutes down the same path they had before. It was only natural that it wouldn’t take them as long the second time.

As they reached they point, it became clear it was a dead end. Sou frowned a bit but then looked over at Max spoke, running his hands along the edges. She wasn’t too sure what he was doing. ”Anything?” she asked when she heard Zenith call her name. ”A cleffa?” she asked as she walked over towards her, seeing the small pink pokemon. ”Awww…I wonder whats wrong. It looks sad.” she said with a slight frown.

Cleffa hid when it noticed Zenith. After a few seconds poked its head out. "Cle cle!!" It said a little scared and curious.

Max rushed over with a big smile.
"Perfect." he said bending down.

Cleffa slowly came out moving closer to Zenith. The little female cleffa looked her up and down then looked at the others.
"Cleffa! Cleffa ! Cleff!!"

Max looked at the little pokemon. Taking a seconds he started to translate.
" She is hiding here because men in black suits entered the cave..." He said looking at the girls.

"What men? Did they cause this noise ?"


"Cle Cle Cleff! Cleffa Cleffa Cleffa...!" She said moving behind Zeniths leg.

" They came in with machines strapped to their backs...she says.." He paused a little unsure of exactly what the pokemon meant.

"Big speakers on their back...to...scare off trainers..while they dug.." Max looked around.
" Is the door in this room..?"


The cleffa nodded pointing out a path of discolored rock that was a little hard to see. Max got up and walked over. He slowly took his breath and began to push on the path. Slowly a panel started to open. Orion and Ethan helped move the heavy block over. Cleffa grabbed Zeniths hand. (Assuming Zenith had bent over at some point ;)) The little pokemon began to shake a little.

"Mt. Moon is famous for Clefairy sightings. The Clefairy are extremely resourceful...Since Mt.Moon at one point was used for mining moon stone. The people who used the tunnel created trick doors to hide the exact spots that were being mined. These doors were all but forgotten about. Except for the cleffa and clefairy who hang out near them. This little guy probable has her own hidden entrance in and out."

Sou and Max came over after Zenith called them, and Max talked with the Cleffa, eventually finding out that some strange men in black with machines on their backs had come through. They had used an old mining tunnel that was hidden with slightly discolored rocks. Max soon found the hidden door, and Ethan and Orion helped him open it.

Meanwhile, the Cleffa literally clung to Zenith, holding her hand tight after she had bent down to pet it to calm it down, shaking in fear. Zenith stroked the female Cleffa's head gently with her good arm. "It's okay little one, no need to be scared. We won't let those bad people hurt you," she said.

Sou watched the Cleffa as it hung out behind Zenith, a seemingly worried look on its face. It seemed to really like Zenith clinging to her as it did. She giggled a bit, as it reminded her of Puff, her igglybuff a bit when Max had bent down, translating what the Cleffa had been trying to tell them. This threw her for a bit of a loop, a bit in shock as to how that was possible. She had heard it was possible for certain pokemon to use telepathy, but this looked completely different. ”Are you able…..to talk to pokemon Max…?” she asked, still a bit bewildered by the recent discovery. But perhaps that could be answered at some other time. With the information the Cleffa relayed to them, it seemed like it was more important to focus on the situation they faced now. ”Men in black…? who could that be? With speakers on their backs to scare of trainers…? Those were probably the reason the pokemon were in such a panic before…” she thought, glancing back over at the Cleffa behind Zenith’s leg.

It was about then that the Cleffa pointed out some discolored rock along the wall they hadn’t noticed. She stood there as she watched Max begin to push against that part of the path, along with Orion and Ethan, clearly the heavy block from the path. ”…is this where those men went? If so, I guess we best be on our guard…” she thought as she looked over at everyone first. She knew Max was pretty knowledgable by this point, but she wondered how he happened to know so many things about a region he probably wasn’t familiar with. He had said before he came to this region to start over after all. She wasn’t suspicious of him, more curious then anything. Perhaps he spent a lot of time studying or was it common knowledge? She wasn’t sure, either way this wasn’t the time to be thinking about it. Zenith had posed some of her own questions, to which Max responded talking about the weapons they used, and that they could be dealing with two separate groups.

Admittedly, she got a curious about the mining group, well maybe less about the group and more about the moonstone. What was so special about it that there would be a group dedicated to just mining the stuff. On top of that, doing so they knew they had to be upsetting the nearby Cleffa and Clefairy. She then looked bad to Max who was stepping into the path. ”Hey…You seem to..know a lot about this cave Max, do you have any vague idea even who those…men in black could be?” Sou asked.

Zenith followed Max into the tunnel, the Cleffa following right behind her. Her attention was piqued when Max said they might be dealing with two different groups. "Two different groups, huh? That seems possible. And using military-grade weaponry.... how could they have gotten hold of it, and what do they need it for? This sounds really serious..."

A feeling of dread began to creep up Zenith's spine. These people obviously weren't common thieves or criminals if they had military-grade technology. It wouldn't be easy for just anyone to steal stuff from a military base. Somehow, these people had access to some serious tech. Zenith hoped they would be able to deal with the two groups, if there were indeed two.
