Sou frowned a bit herself when she saw Max even frown at the group. That couldn’t be any good and the reason was because he thought they should hand the Cleffa over for the information that girl in the black outfit might spill. While she had thought of the possibility a little earlier, it still didnt feel right. They were essentially putting the Cleffa into a situation it had escaped from merely for information. But if they wanted to get anywhere, they probably needed the information the person had. She looked over at Zenith herself who would probably be the least bit happy about the situation. She was probably the most passionate one in the group, at least thats what she felt with the little bit of time they talked. She couldn’t say which one was actually most passionate but when she thought of the differences she’s picked up between them, Zenith became clearly the answer. There was that and the fact Max seemed to be emphasizing that they needed the information directly towards her. Sou just nodded, looking over at Zenith herself.

Zenith couldn't believe what Max said. He wanted her to hand over the Cleffa to that girl?! Was he crazy?! She gritted her teeth, not sure what to do.

I'll hate myself if I hand over the Cleffa to her... but Max is right... she's got us cornered... we can't do anything except give it back... Zenith thought.

Zenith looked up at Max in the eyes, studying him for several moments. She then sighed. "Fine..." she muttered, an obviously very displeased tone to her voice. She then looked down at the Cleffa. "I'm sorry, Cleffa..." she said.

The girl cracked a huge smile as Zenith handed back over the shiny pokemon. Cleffa seemed sad as she was picked up by the girl.

Veronica took a few steps back.
" You lived up to your end of the bargain so I guess Ill do the same..."

Rocket Grunts Jumped out of the bushes

"Opps I lied! You shouldnt beat yourselves up...Veronica of Team Rocket has beaten better trainers." She laughed

She looked at the grunts.
" We need more time..dont screw this up."

The grunts stepped forward with odd machines strapped to their backs. They turned on the machines and the sound waves blasted out. The waves instantly started to make the team dizzy causing it hard for them to stand up. Max turned to the others pushing them towards the cave entrance to at least get out of the way ..... The grunts continued forward the sound drew some unwanted attention.

Sou frowned as Zenith walked over to the girl to hand over the Cleffa. It was sad to watch the expression on the Cleffa’s face as Zenith handed it over, the girl cracking a huge smile as it happened. It was then that Veronica jumped a few steps back away from them, saying that she’d hold up her send of the bargain, or so she thought when men in black suits jumped out of the bushes. They had strange backpacks on their backs and the same ‘R’ on their shirts like the girl. ”Team rocket…?” she whispered after the girl had identified herself and then told the men who had appeared that they needed more time. The strange backpacks they were wearing then seemed to be doing something, making her a bit dizzy as she fell down to her knees, covering her ears. ”That…hurts…” she uttered when she saw Max come over and lead them back into the cave away from the grunts and their strange backpacks. It was those backpacks that must have been the cause for all that chaos. Those guys….That girl Veronica called them Team Rocket, so the R on their shirts probably stood for Rocket. As she followed Max, it appeared that all the racket caused them to run into some unwanted attention. ”Just great…but…Ria can handle this.” she muttered as she unclipped Ria’s poke ball and tossed it out, her wartortle appearing in a flash of light.

”Ria! Take out those Geodude! she called, covering one of her ears with her free hand.

Battle!

Sou smiled as Ria seemed to be able to handle the Geodude alright, but what were they going to do about those grunts. ”What do we do Max?! Sou asked, unsure. She was clearly unsure what was going to happen of what they were going to do. She was in a bit of a panic.

Orion had gotten away from the rest of his group in order to find some other Poison-type Pokemons. He roamed for hours through the depths of Mt. Moon in caves that kept getting darker and darker. Unfortunately, there was nothing to be found. No Pokemon in sight. Something was definitely wrong around here. Orion eventually decided to ask his newly caught Zubat, [Aezazel], to help him find the exit. It was really perilous as he had to climb his way up. Of course, he could have helped himself with the rope stairs dispersed on each floors, but he thought it was shady, at best, that the way up would just happen to be so easy. Besides, he was in no hurry to get back to Max and his groupies... If only Max and Zenith would just make out already... Perhaps we could get some work done afterwards, Orion thought to himself.

After a while, he finally saw some light on the horizon. He couldn't tell if it was the exit yet, but he decided to hurry nonetheless. A few minutes later, he got to the place where a red-haired woman was causing a stir. She had a Gengar has her partner Pokemon. She is the most amazing Pokemon trainer I've ever seen, Orion thought. I need to get my hands on a Gengar too.

She seemed to be arguing with some other Pokemon trainers, but he could see them clearly. Why can't they battle already? Orion wondered... Suddenly, some grunts appear behind her wearing the same uniform. They had some kind of machines attached to their back. Sound waves blasted out when they turned on the machines attracting some near by Geodudes. One of the trainers called out her Wartortle. Orion recognized it instantly.

"Hey Clump-Sou, need some help?" Orion shouted as he sent out his Ivysaur, [Quean], to assist him.

VS Geodude I-III

Orion knew there was no way [Quean] would ever listen to him and decided to let her to what she knew best : being a b****. The fight was over fairly quickly although the Ivysaur got pretty exhausted and Orion decided to call her back.

Zenith gritted her teeth as the girl took the Cleffa and then went back on her word. I KNEW this might happen! Why did I listen?! she thought angrily. Like she predicted, she now hated herself for handing over the Cleffa. Since when was it ever a good idea to listen to a criminal?

Just then, several men in black with strange machines on their backs appeared out of the bushes. The men sent waves of sound at them from the machines, causing them to get dizzy. Max got them out of the way, however, the sound began to attract some wild Geodude.

Great, just what we need... Zenith thought.

"Hey Clump-Sou, need some help?" Orion shouted as he sent out his Ivysaur.

Zenith bristled at the name-calling directed at Sou by Orion She was becoming more fed up with him by the minute. Unfortunately, now was not the time to go off on him. She grabbed Calder's Poke Ball and threw it.

"Calder, take out some of those Geodude!" Zenith shouted.

Clader appeared in a flash of light, and the Marill attacked the closet Geodude.

Battle!

After the battle, Zenith looked over and saw Orion had finishd off three other Geodude. He recalled his Ivysaur to her Poke Ball.

There were still a few more Geodude left before they could go after Veronica and the men. "Max, what do we do now?" she asked, turning to him with an uncertain look on her face.

As the team hid out of sight of the Grunts max looked at the team.
" Ill send in Lila to lay down a smokescreen. Once the smokescreen is in place. Send in your fliers to attack the machine's directly. Even if they can get the grunts to break formations we should have a clear path to them." He looked at the others making sure they understood. Before he made his move he looked at Zenith.

Max called to Lila.
"get out there and lay down a blanket of smoke!"

Lila jumped out letting out the smoke. The confused pokemon stumbled back to the team. Where Max greeted her.
"Great job.."

"Zenith, Sou, Orion its time!"

Zenith listened as Max explained his plan, wanting her and the others to use their flying-type pokemon to take out the machines while Max had Lila used a Smokecreen to block them from view.

Max then turned to Zenith and said, "I didn't see any hurt pokemon...which makes me think that Team Rocket isn't interested in harming them..which means the Cleffa will be just fine. Also by letting her take the pokemon we learned a couple of things. One, these grunts are all she has..two whatever is happening is happening down the south east route."

Zenith realized Max had a point. None of the pokemon they had encountered were injured, so it did indeed seem like they weren't interested in harming them. It was a small consolation, however.

Max then called out Lila and had her put down the Smokescreen, covering the area with smoke. "Zenith, Sou, Orion its time!" he called out. "Ethan..once they are distracted lets get Flaafy to use its electricity to overload those devices!"

Zenith quickly took Freefall's Poke Ball and threw it. "Freefall, take out those machines on those mens' backs!" she said.

"Pidgeo!" Freefall answered, using the Smokescreen for cover as he flew at one of the men. He appeared in front of one of the men and flew a little past him, quickly turning around and firing a couple of blades of wind at the machine on his back, damaging it. He then turned toward another man and fired more blades of wind at the machine on his back, damaging it as well.

Zenith smiled. "Great job, Freefall!"

"Pidgeo!" Freefall cawed, flying back over to Zenith.

Sou looked up as she heard her named along with some word tagged in front of it, turning in the direction she heard the voice. ”Clump…?” she thought with a little bit of a frown but shook her head, her Wartortle had come out of the fight with pretty much no damage. The same couldn’t be said for Orion’s Ivysaur as it took damage hard from the geodude. She scratched the side of her head a bit but smiled anyway. ”Nah. I was able to handle those fairly well. Ria here’s got the advantage over rock types” she said as she followed back with the group in silence. She hid with the group away from the rocket grunts, biting her lip when Max spoke up. He was going to lay down a smokescreen apparently and then have everyone send their bird pokemon in to attack the backpacks. It was probably their best bet, those machines needed to go. It would be even better if taking out these guys would mean they would they would be closer to whatever their end goal was.

Sou watched as Max sent out his Marshtomp, Lila and had her lay down a blanket of smoke. As this happened, she reached back to grab Arrow’s poke ball, unclipping it slowly from her belt. When Max yelled out it was time, she threw her poke ball, her Spearow, Arrow appearing in a flash of white light. ”Arrow! Give the machines on those guy’s backs your regards!” she said, a spark in Arrow’s eyes as it crowed before dive bombing towards the grunts, throwing a blade of wind towards one machine then flapped its wings to generate more towards another grunt. ”Rooowwww! Arrow crowed out in victory. ”great job! now come back! she called as Arrow just so happened to ignore that call, instead moving to peck at the grunts instead. ”ah….He’s gotten too excited again…” she muttered laughing a bit nervously.

Orion was reticent to send out [Aetropos] to assist Max. He did to avoid any complications with the rest of the group. He knew the little Shuppet would enjoy playing tricks to team Rocket's grunt and he was right. The ghost Pokemon reached to the nearest henchman and kept him distracted by using a combination of Will-O-Wisp and Confuse Ray. Orion had so much fun watching his Pokemon causing a wreck in the enemy's ranks, he started laughing which was pretty unusual.
