Sou had taken off running, calling for the others to do the same. However, before she or any of the others could get out, Kyurem fired an Ice Beam and blocked the exit out of the chamber.

Not good... Zenith thought as she gritted her teeth.

Max then challenged Kyurem, and Zenith's eyes widened. Is he SERIOUS?! He can't honestly think he can win against a legendary pokemon, can he?! He said he didn't want to do anything reckless like that again after the Nidoqueen and Nidoking fiasco, she thought.

Just then, a Slowking appeared and used its psychic powers on Max, making him float in the air like a puppet on strings.

"We are the voices of the old world." Max said but not in his voice.

The being stepped forward out of the icy mist.

"You should not have distributed my slumber! " Max said.

Zenith looked over at Sou, who was petrified in fear. Zenith couldn't blame her; she was scared as well, but they had to do something to get out of this.

Sou then insisted to Kyurem that they weren't to blame, and were the ones trying to prevent what had just happened.

This is really, REALLY bad... Zenith thought, her entire body trembling. She had no idea what to do. This was a legendary pokemon they were dealing with, who seemed bent on killing them for disturbing its sleep. How could they calm it down and convince it they meant no harm and weren't the ones who woke it? Would simply talking to Kyurem work? Zenith had no idea, but trying to reason with the mighty legendary seemed like their only option.

Zenith took several breaths to calm her nerves and stood up straight. She looked up at Kyurem. "Mighty Lord Kyurem, please listen to me!" she called. "My friend Sou is correct! We are not the ones who were attempting to disturb you! We were trying to prevent that from happening, but we failed! We mean you no harm, and simply wish to leave you in peace! We honestly had no idea that you were resting here! Please, release our friend Max, and we will leave peacefully!"
