As they walked a couple of hours passed and they were finally back on road and walking towards Cerulean City. As they walked a guy came biking toward them from the direction of Pewter.

The uneventful hours passed by as they continued toward Cerulean City. Altea yawned sleepily, absentmindedly wondering how far they'd walked. Just then, a voice called out from behind them. Altea turned, wondering what the commotion was. She saw a guy on a bike, approaching the group at an amazing speed. As the shortest of the group, she had ended up at the back and was the closest to the incoming bike and rider.

"Excuse me! Excuse me!" the cyclist announced without slowing down.

"Whoa!" Altea said, startled.

Having not been born with the best reaction time, Altea half stumbled to the side, accidentally bumping into Zenith and Sou. However, she managed to get out of the bicyclist's way just as he was about to hit them.

"Sorry about that you guys," Altea appologized shortly after regaining her balance.

"Hey Mister! It's not safe to ride that fast you know!" Altea complained to the cyclist.

Zenith walked along with the others, lost in thought. She was suddenly snapped out of her reverie, however, when Altea bumped into her and Sou. She yelped in surprise as she stumbled slightly, but managed to catch herselfbefore she fell. Altea apologized as she stood up and turned toward whatever had caused her to bump into Zenith and Sou.

"It's okay, Altea, it was an accident," Zenith said. She then turned to Sou. "You okay, Sou?"

Zenith turned toward whatever Altea was focused on, seeing a man on a bike. The man said that he was here on behalf of the Gym Leader, Brock to give some badges to some trainers.

"Come to think of it, I never did get my badge or scarf..." Zenith said. She then stepped toward the man. "Excuse me, I might be one of those trainers. My name is Zenith Brunel."

After a couple hours of walking in the direction of their next destination, a cyclist came from behind them, calling out ‘excuse me!’ a couple of times. Just prior, Sou had been a bit deep into her thoughts again, recalling the events of the last couple of days. The cyclist didn’t startle her much, but what really knocked her out of it was when Altea stumbled them her and Zenith, making her take a few steps diagonally from where she had been, Altea apologizing before she could get a word out. As she straightened herself, she giggled a bit. [b]”Its alright Altea, had you not bumped into me, I might have bumped into someone else or a tree” she said smiling and turned to the cyclist, Altea now seemed to be complaining to. Before the trainer explained anything, she turned to Zenith and nodded. ”Yeah, I’m fine. Fit as a riolu!” she said smiling but scratched the side of her face hoping that made sense.

She then turned to the cyclist as he explained that some trainer’s had missed their badges. ”Missed out on badges?….Well, I have mine with me in my case.” she said looking at Altea, then to Max and Zenith. Zenith shortly stepped forward saying she never did get her stuff from the Pewter gym which she thought was a little weird. If she hadn’t gotten hers, then the rest of their group prior to her joining the group probably didn’t either.

"That took a while. At this rate, I'll be retired from battling before I get the 8th badge..." he smiled.

As the team walked the long route 4 path, they heard the sounds of bells. Upon closer inspection, a man dressed with an apron and an eccentric green hat was waving a bell that was attacked to a wooden rod.
"Rent a bike! Come on, folks! Come on over to the rent-a-bike!" the man yelled.

Zenith thanked the man for bringing her her scarf and badge after putting them away. Once everyone had claimed their things, they continued along Route 4. After a while, they could hear the sound of bells.

"What's that?" Zenith asked, a curious look on her face.

Just then, a male voice called out, "Rent a bike! Come on, folks! Come on over to the rent-a-bike!" the man yelled.

As the group followed the voice, they soon came across a man dressed with an apron and a green hat waving a bell. There were also various bikes locked up in bike corrals.

"He's renting out bikes? That's great! That'll help us get to Cerulean City faster!" Zenith said. She then turned to Max. "What do you think, Max? Should we rent some bikes for the rest of the way to Cerulean?"

Sou watched from the side as Zenith and Max received their badges and scarf from the man. She still thought it was a little weird but was glad they were able to receive their items. She wasn’t looking at Max when he opened his jacket with his badges, too busy looking at the sky at the moment. She did look at him when he spoke up, saying something along the lines of being retired before he got his 8th badge. She chuckled a bit and then looked to Sloane and Altea. She smiled at them before they continued along route 4, As they walked, they soon could hear the sound of bells and as they got closer to that sound, they could see a man in green garb up ahead. He was dressed in an apron and a rather eccentric green hat to match it, waving a bell attached to a wooden rod. He was yelling something about renting a bike, making her smile a bit at the thought of riding one. [b]”Wow a bike…?!” she exclaimed as they drew closer to bike man. Zenith seemed equally excited, mentioning that it would help them to get to Cerulean faster. She was right about that one and the thought hadn’t really crossed her mind yet. She was too busy thinking about how much fun it would be ride again and feel the breeze on her face. Zentih wanted to ask Max, but Sou was already walking over to the man excitably. ”Hey! How much is it to rent one of these?” she asked excitably.
