Man I did terribly this week. My roleplay posts were travel ones so they were boring, I got last in creative writing, and while drawn art hasn't posted scoring yet, I doubt that I got any points there either. *sighs*

Well, to be fair, not very many people entered writing this week, so while it's easier to get first, it's also easier to get last.

Well, week 3's theme for creative writing is FLIPPIN AWESOME, and I already have a good idea, but I ran into trouble with naming things again. There are two main places in my story: the "earth" which is a very dangerous place place full of magic of all kinds. And then there's the "sky forest" which is a large forest city of the plant people, which is placed on Island clouds and is floating over the "Earth".

I considered keeping "Sky Forest" as the name for the 2nd area but I'm open for ideas. The "earth" area is nameless atm though.

Also, I banged out an entry for Week III's thing.
...It is dark and weird and sounds a lot like something HP Lovecraft would write.

And @Morzone, maybe you could call the earth area 'Terra'? Or maybe 'Neutral Zone', or 'Lawless'?

If you're writing from the plant people's (do you have a name for their race?) perspective, and assuming most citizens wouldn't venture down from their island, you could have some sort of name that came about from a myth that is passed down. That way you don't have to pick a name that's completely descriptive of what the place has. For example if they believe the earth portion cracked and fell from the sky forest, they might call it 'The Collapsed Lands'. If its obvious they thought it was dangerous and knew more about it, maybe something like 'The Forbidden Depths' to deter adventurers from going. And you could even add what makes it mysterious or dangerous by covering it with a tainted mist or shadow and work that into the lore for the name, and describe the biome of the place.

Suggestions for the sky forest, maybe something in the inhabitant's tongue and just means sky forest or city. Like that ghibli movie Laputa Castle in the Sky

The original Idea was a sort of Lower island that was larger than the cloud island but was full of wild magic and magical creatures, so I might look into the whole "Collapsed lands" thing.

I've been looking into latin words for the name of the sky forest and I think I found a good one, but I think there could be better ones. Right now it is: Viridi Vita. It means "Green life"
