your turn to roll

After the group split up following the events of the burning town, Clea asked Emma if she wanted to travel with her. However, Emma declined, saying that there was something she had to take care of. She left without giving Clea any details of her destination, but both had the other's PokéNav number if they really needed it. Clea was a little scarred by what she had seen in that town, as well as the fact that so early into their journey, they had lost two team members. It was a horrifying experience, and her mind remained a tomb for the memories she held from it.
Clea didn't like travelling on her own, which resulted in her having out at least two of her pokemon at one time. One was always Fyn, her faithful marshtomp who had been with her the longest. Along the way to Rustboro, she met a few travellers who she thought she might like to hit the road with, but after being double-crossed and having her money and half her supplies stolen while she slept by someone she had been travelling with for three days, she began to lose trust in the general public. Had Fyn not woken up when he did, the same thief could have taken off with her pokémon. Once she reached Rustboro, she defeated Roxanne and added her gym badge to her case.
However, travelling without her CYCLONE comrades just wasn't the same. She had made friends out of most of them, and the one she thought most about was Rain. He had always been in an unstable mindset due to the wrestle with shadow energy that he was constantly facing, and although she was glad for him that he would be able to find the old man he had been seeking, she also worried for him. She worried for all of them. Lucian had practically changed into a different person after the events with the Songbird Cultists, and she feared he would never recover.
Clea stayed in Rustboro for another week, merely trying to contemplate the best course of action. However, by the last night she stayed there, she realised that she felt lost without CYCLONE. It was the entire reason she came to Hoenn. She had mulled it over for a good few days, and she kept returning to the same conclusion: it was time to return home.
After catching a flight to Johto the following week, Clea returned to her home in Olivine City and stayed with her parents for the following four and a half months. At first she found it difficult to sit still, so she volunteered at a pokémon shelter on the other side of the city. She grew close to the people who worked and volunteered there as she did, as well as some of the pokémon with whom she constantly interacted. Her pokémon ran around freely at her parents' house in their backyard, and every few days Clea would take them for walks and training sessions by the beach. Septimus evolved into a breloom and Fyn evolved into a swampert, who she had trained with well in water. He was an excellent swimmer and exceeded his species' average expertise just as successfully with her atop his back. Clea reunited with some of her old friends, telling them all about her journey around Hoenn and omitting the details which plagued her in her quiet time. It was nice to catch up and return home for a time, but she couldn't shake the feeling of having an enormous hole in her heart.
One day, after she got home from volunteering at the pokémon shelter, her mother greeted her at the front door to inform her about her PokéNav's relentless buzzing. She said she had tried to check the message in case it was important but did not know the password, so she had left it for Clea. When Clea returned to her room, she was ready for the many notifications to pop up, but there was only one. It was a message detailing coordinates to somewhere in Hoenn. The oddness of the message itself wasn't what shocked Clea, however; it was the fact that it was from Dr. Sarin. Sarin was missing.
The first thing Clea did was inform the shelter in person that she was unable to continue volunteering there. The administration wrote her a reference letter for her solid dedication and tireless work ethic, and asked her if, before she left for Hoenn, she wanted to adopt any of the pokémon at the shelter. There was one particular pokémon who she had grown attached to after she had shown nothing but a bitter attitude towards humans. Months of attention from Clea had softened her, however, and she was the one pokémon who Clea always looked forward to seeing, no matter what: a girafarig named Elo.
After receiving encouragement from her parents, Clea and her pokémon left for Hoenn and headed toward the west coast, where the coordinates had taken her. She had planned to take the path from Rustboro up to Meteor Falls, but had heard too many times how arduous the journey was. Instead, she decided to head towards Fallabor Town. With all the recent destruction in Hoenn, she found herself avoiding most of the main cities and steering clear of any trouble she could. Currently she treks through the ashes covering Route 113, wondering who and what she'll encounter once she reaches Meteor Falls.
Requirements:
Clea's marshtomp into swampert
Clea's shroomish into breloom
+ A girafarig
