I sure don't miss school...

I may not enjoy my job, but at least it pays. I've been trying to save money, but I think I'm going to need to move to another state. Rent and housing is just too expensive here and I'll never be able to afford it unless I find roommates. And that can be a very hit or miss proposition.

I know there's one country out there that gives their students a choice to either continue their education or get a job and if they continue their education they get paid. I would technically qualify for the payment given my age and education level but because I'm studying so much I can't get a job and the United States is too cheap to pay people for education.

It's sad what student loans are doing to people these days. And there's no guarantee of being able to land a job after college anyway. I'd go as far as saying that it's honestly better for a high school graduate to pick up a trade rather than go to college. I kind of wish I did that, as that kind of thing isn't something that can be easily outsourced to another country.

I also wanted to go into marketing and do stuff like advertising, promotions, graphic design, and that kind of thing, and instead I'm just doing ho-hum data management. There's nothing cool, creative, or interesting about it.

Not to mention the job field itself now is incredibly difficult to get in even with a degree now. It's hard finding the so-called "perfect job," or job that best fits you. I'm still on the hunt, but the job I get will only be that temporary job for experience and help me get through while I figure out what profession to strive for.

Yeah promotions or graphic designs are both pretty tough to get into from what I can tell. A lot of people are trying for that now too. It's quiet popular. From the arts/banners/avatars/etc I've seen from you though I'm sure you'd fit in with that kinda stuff perfectly. Even if that's just the minimal for that kinda of required job lol.

There's one school I'm looking at that has a 90% job placement rate, with 85% being in the field they studied for. I'm looking at going there to see if I can get some job training and then work as a filmographer or something because that pays pretty well and is in high demand, but the school is the tiniest bit expensive.

Yeah most schools today are pretty expensive, but they could never be free. We will always have to pay for that kind of stuff. As long as it has a high turnout rate for getting a job placement, then that's great I'd say!
