On the contrary, Typhlosion usually only have fire burning from their neck though you might see it blazing down their backs. Quilava's usually only blaze on their heads and butts, which you can see here. They can blaze on their backs as well, but only in extreme fits of anger or power. Typhlosion do not blaze on their heads, thus you can tell the difference. Also, the Quilava's eyes are exactly where they are supposed to be. On a Typhlosion the blue fur does not touch their eyes.
Typhlosion have fangs, no fire on their heads, smaller heads, differently shaped arms, a tail of dark fur at their butts (not fire), differently shaped bodies, differently shaped heads...
DREDD THAT PICTURE IS INCREDIBLE! I love the large scale you always work at. :D She looks fabulous. :3 You should totally post it in the happy birthday thread so everyone can see it! :D
Ita fair to say each of us draw or intake pokemon in our own way. My drawing for the most part are made while looking at official art work. However anyone watching the anime is going to see the same pokemon slightly different because of size inconsistencies and color variations. Maybe common mistake i see in pokemon art is the difference between male and females. It would be cool if pokemon at least the birds featured a richer color pallet since many males are more colorful then females so they can attract them during mating. But * i dye grass*
Thanks Grace! I wanted it to be for noble.didnt really care who else saw.

Oh, for sure! That was me telling Gemma the differences and why it's easy to tell that you drew a quilava, though. xD But yeah, I agree. It would be cool if there were more variations. I really think that it would be cooler if more pokemon had sub-breeds, or just different forms, such as shellos being technically the same pokemon, but one's from the east and one's from the west. And how deerling have different forms according to the weather. I wish more of those existed! Or more patterns. Ah well. xP
True. x)
*Drolls over the idea of pokemon designs be varied from region to region. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to have pokemon change dramatically from region to region. Like how cool would it be to have the Pikachu in Kanto to be different from the Pikachu in Johto....Just changed enough to let you know they evolved in different regions.
Either way you just gave me an idea!

Hey, at least you realised and changed the colours in time! I had to resubmit a picture on dA because the colours were too warm. ;n; I really like the perspective, though!
