I rarely if ever swear myself, but it doesn't bother me if others do it.

I'm English, so I make full use of our varied and entertaining swearcabulary.

No, that isn't an actual word that anybody uses. But why don't you take your ******* opinion, ****** it up with some ******* ****, and ***** it up your ********!

If you're angry, yeah, that's fine. Cuss away! But don't swear at me or anyone else because you can't keep your emotions in check.

That said, I don't really have a problem with people swearing if that's what they choose to do. My own brother swears every second word these days. xD As long as it's not done in public, I'm fine with it. I also don't like it when kids swear. It's really disrespectful towards everyone else AND the parents who raised them. Unless those parents spoiled them rotten and let them get away with murder...
Haha, well I am the same there. Unless there's some game that's really frustrating I don't like to cuss/swear. Sometimes I may joke around with my brother or friends, but nothing like I'm super serious or really mean it. My brother did at some point while he was in middle school. Then our parents ended up catching on to him and made him sign a piece of paper with statements as to what will happen if he was caught doing it again xD. Now that paper has disappeared, but it was funny back then.

I can honestly deal with others swearing, but as long as it's not all directed to me for no real good reason. I really don't like it being in front of other little kids, but if it's a public place or another kids parent....I just feel like it's not my place to step in as long as they aren't getting hurt. Sadly younger kids are learning it from their parents and it's becoming more common to see online and in public.

    The time is upon us...

I'll pop a few ****s every now and then, but i know when to not do it. But i am fine and dandy with these words... As a book i read once said, a dirty word is not dirty because of the dirter, but the dirtee. "Greasy Salve" to some people can be a swear word.

Oh lord, I swear basically every other word. My humor is based 99% around swear words, and I swear around pretty much everyone. I use every swear word you can think of - from the mild d's to the hard c's to the "offensive" gd's (I tend to use the f-word, gd, and the c-word the most). I don't mind if someone doesn't swear, but I think it's ridiculous that people think swearing is unintelligent or get offended when I swear. I don't see it as a big deal, really...they're just words. And I almost never swear at anyone in anger, I do it almost-exclusively light-heartedly and humorously, so I don't see the problem.

I don't swear on the forums, however, as I explained in that one thread where we started talking about it. /super lazy

Defends what you define as swearing. For example, I don't have any issue saying, hell, crap, damn, piss or ****. However I try to avoid saying s**t, f**k, c**t or Jesus (as blasphemy)

I was brought up in a home where my parents swore but we weren't allowed to. However when I was about 13, I started using the words I mentioned above and have no problem using them now.

I swear a bit, though I kinda wish a didn't. When I am around friends from church and youth group, I do it once in a blue moon, and only really if it is part of a saying. "No s*** Sherlock!", "Four fifths of f*** all." etc). Granted I still say all the ones I have no issue with, to everyone's slight disapproval. Same with family.

Friends who swear is a different story. I tend to say s**t and f**k a bit, though next to never say the other two.

When I am driving without a passenger and stuck dealing with idiots in traffic, any filter goes out the window, and I drop those like crazy.

"There is a pedal on the f***ing right, called an accelerator! I know you car is a piece of s*** that can't go very quickly, but at least f***ing try!"

But yeah, I don't like this as I know that I should have a bit more self control in what I say, and more integrity in it. I shouldn't be two separate people depending on the crowd I am with. I have only recently started uni, so I am making sure to hold my tongue so I am no hypocrite.

I like to use a healthy mix of swear levels. "You're a gosh-darned c***." "Hey, what the frick-frack-snick-snack-flying-f*** are you doing!?"

It's fun. I get weird looks sometimes. My friends and I, a lot of our humor comes from simultaneously being very large, rather quirky children and reasonable, responsible adults.

Don't worry about "being a hypocrite." Everyone is a hypocrite, and realizing / acknowledging this gets you further towards self-enlightenment. Really.

I don't see that as you seeming "two-faced," either. I mean, we ALL have slightly different personas depending on who we're around, due to reasons that you pretty much wrapped up in a nutshell. Just because you change your mannerisms around certain groups of people, doesn't make you any less...well, you. c:
