That's what my family does. I mean now we have the Hawks and coyotes but before they settled in we used the feral cats. Yeah, we definitely have a LOT of squirrels and chipmunks around, and I saw him in the backyard ready to pounce on a chipmunk the other day. Usually we don't try to drive them away, though. The chipmunks make a lot of holes in the backyard, but they don't damage anything. We also don't grow anything in the backyard either (our neighbors do, but their stuff gets poached by them before it even ripens).

I don't want to call animal control. I have a feeling they'll just put the cat in a shelter and kill him if no one adopts him.
