It can be yeah, for sure. Especially if you need to make sure you still have a good income to save money in case of emergencies.

My Dad seems to be interested in getting a Subaru Forrester, but that's if either the minivan or his Benz kicks the bucket. He wanted to get a self-driving car, but yeah, those just haven't been mainstreamed, yet.
Self driving cars aren't really modernized in most places either. So it could be good or could be bad. I can say for sure yeah minivans aren't the best. Did really well while we were younger and all lived together still and took family trips. Now, it's age is showing and I'm the one stuck with it. I'm guessing that's how it is with you guys too?

Yeah, I'm not sure if our minivan with 100K miles on it now would be good to handle for a long trip. While it runs fine now, I'm just not sure if we'd be able to do the kinds of drives we used to do with it, such as driving down all the way to Virginia and such.
The one we have is nearing 170k on it. Age is really showing at that. So longer trips would be really bad for it. The hour to and from work isn't too bad. Except on gas.

Gas has been expensive lately, not sure if its because of international reasons or its just the tax program in our country.
It’s because the demand for crude oil is out pacing the supply of it. Domestically speaking, several oil pipelines have been shutdown, meaning we’re not producing as much crude oil in the U.S. as we used to, which causes the prices to go up. Then on the foreign front, OPEC is refusing to increase their supply of crude oil, which makes sense because the higher the price of crude oil the more money they make. So because the US, as well as several other countries, shutdown their own pipelines, there’s less crude oil going around, and the countries/organizations that have the crude oil, like OPEC, won’t increase the available supply on the market to meet the sudden sharp increase in demand. Ergo, the price of gas goes up.
I just don't get why we shut down our own pipelines, but eh, that discussion could get political.
In other news, we've started getting quite a bit of snow. Hasn't been sticking all that much, but a few degrees lower and that might change. Would be nice to get a white Christmas, we haven't had one of those in a while and they're always fun and festive. I always find it funny how in December, everyone LOVES to have snow around, and then come January and February, people seem to loathe it. xD
I would love it year round xD. I hate the heat so much....
