So today I went to the NY Renaissance Faire with my faerie rogue costume (just to prove you can make a faerie badass). People ADORED it (especially the kids), although I think it was mostly because of the giant butterfly wings I was using (seriously, they're freakin' huge). Heck, some people thought I was just a straight up butterfly because of them and I guess they didn't notice the elf ears, dark clothing, and the runic dagger I had on.

A professional photographer took a few shots of me (I must have gotten pulled into at least three dozen photo ops today, no kidding) and gave me his business card, so when he uploads them and if I can find the ones with me in them, I'll show you guys, probably in a blog post since I haven't made good use of those for a while.

But yeah, today was a blast. It's SO MUCH more fun to go in costume to these things, especially costumes that stand out. The only issue today was the extreme heat (94F with buttloads of humidity). I needed to guzzle two bottles of water, one cup of iced coffee, a cold beer, and ice cream and I still was feeling it. Still, it was worth it.
