Team no Spoilers for the win!
To be honest, I was once up for spoilers, but 2 things made me change my mind.
one was that spoilers were starting to, well, really spoil things! There's an anime or two I haven't finished because I pretty much knew the ending from spoilers.
Another is a picture I saw about a "leak" of characters for a new Smash bros game. it was a character selection made to look real, but was actually fake and was filled with phrases like "Not real" "Did you actually check" and "Anyone can create a fake leak, its really easy" so I sort of realized a lot of the spoilers are bogus and therefor weren't any help anyway.
So yeah. go team no spoilers!
That's a good list of spoilers! 8D My two reasons are similar to yours; I too have spoiled many things (games, anime, TV, movies) because I accidentally encountered a comment here or there which spoiled a future episode. I ALWAYS manage to do this BY ACCIDENT, and it's usually RIGHT before I finish the season, or the game, so I would have figured it out in two episodes but now I already know it and it won't be as good, DAMMIT ME. XD The other was that I was really disappointed that there weren't more Kalosian pokemon in 2013 which I spoiled the heck out of for myself, expecting more pokemon to be in the game and for every pokemon not to have been revealed yet. I also realised that the Pokemon franchise is one of the only games to completely spoil everything in the game (maybe not everything, but every pokemon, at least) out of all the games I play. And I HATE spoilers for other games (or movies, TV, etc) unless I'm not going to play them. But I am going to play this, and it's just annoying that they give so much away before the game! I know it's to build hype and get everyone excited, but they really didn't have to do it 10 months before the game got released. But whatever. xD I know other people like spoilers, but yeah, this time I'm going in (almost) blind. Of course a few things have been spoiled for me through accidents, but I'm tryyying! Plus when Sarah went no spoilers for X and Y, she enjoyed it more than I did going in there with every spoiler. xD
I also realised that every Pokemon game that was released before the internet (my time on the internet, I mean) was not spoiled for me. I always knew the pokemon because I used to buy all the handbooks from the book club at school (xD) but none of the features or anything were spoiled. And I loved it that way.
i guess you dont want to know the latest in pokemon xyz the anime series either :frowns:
XD my brothers and I used to buy the guides when we got the games as well. We stopped when it switched to two books instead of one, though, it was too weird.
I guess that's why remakes are so popular though, since people know what's coming and yet there's still a good amount of new material in the game to make it (More) interesting.
To be honest, I don't really watch the anime anymore. I'll watch it sometimes, but I don't keep up with it anymore, not that I followed it much to begin with, just watched whatever came on even if it wasn't in order. I preferred watching the movies. There were some really good movies :)
imo the anime went downhill after the Advanced series. I tried watching some Black and White and some X and Y but it was way too cringy and boring. I watched the Zekrom/Reshiram movie with victini and it was absolute rubbish. I hated it. xD Plus I can't stand it in English. Haven't been able to since they switched dubbing companies and changed all the voice actors.
Ah nice. x) I never bothered with the guides much, but they were fun!
Yeah I guess. Though everything still gets spoiled, haha.
I remember the days of paper guides... Back when Red and Blue were coming out, the days of the old guard of YGO! God i feel old...
I used to be a No Spoiler Elitist. But now, it is hard to avoid them, especially since my friends talk about pokemon a lot ever since i got them into it. So i just say screw it.
