Old timey music kind of puts me to sleep. I'll admit, some of it is okay, but it doesn't exactly get me energized or ready to jump into action with anything. XD

That definitely sounds like something he wants to watch more than "something everyone can watch." I think I'd just be playing with my smartphone the entire time or making up some excuse to go do something else. :P

That's always my excuse to go back to my room and pull out my laptop. Otherwise I'll mostly be on my phone lately browsing PXR. So it's not always a bad thing.

Really, I joined the community when I was 21 back in 2003 and wheeeeee, still here. I'm 34 now, still into crazy battling pocket monsters and electric rodents and flying squirrels! This is insanity!

I got into Pokemon when I was 17. Kind of crazy to think it all just started with an innocent game and became a completely life-changing experience for the better. XD

I got into Pokemon when it first came to the States, i believe i was 6. When the internet started booming, i browsed all the Pokemon related stuff. Didn't really join a forum, i lurked most of them though.

I got accused of hacking the hax in netplay one time, though I don't even know how to command a firewall...

Originally, I was extremely skeptical about Pokémon when I first saw it. It was originally compared to Tamagotchi in the wake of a virtual pet craze that had left a really bad taste in my mouth (Tamagotchis started as a cute idea, and they rapidly became annoying). So I was like "yeah, no more virtual pets for me, thank you very much." I wasn't crazy at all about Ash when I first saw him (I'm still not) so the anime didn't sell me on the whole idea either. Then one of my brother's friends suggested "hey, you should get a Pokémon game with your brother so we can play together!" And after my brother did a load of things trying to get me into it, I was like "oh fine, guess I'll try it for a little while."

And a "little while" ended up becoming 16 years and still going on strong. I figure if I haven't left it by now, I'll probably end up sticking with it.
