To be honest, I thought the ending, especially like, the very last episode, was the weakest part of the anime anyway. I'm almost kinda happy they are redoing it. Maybe I should watch the first season up to that point to catch up.
And that kinda worries me about AoT too. Hopefully if they are straying from the source material, they are just skipping over a few things or something. It's not always a bad thing when an anime strays from the source material. Well, usually it is, but I mean, Noragami season 1 was pretty good and it didn't really have anything to do with the source material. Actually, now that I think about it, that is the only example of an anime straying from the source material that didn't end badly, so odds are that if AoT is changing things, they might kill it.
