Also, type advantages work differently in this round. While having the same type will earn you positive rapport (which isn't racist...it's having something in common with someone xD), not very effective or super effective will have a level of intimidation/modesty. From the rules:

These Interviews are subject to a Rapport check, which is based on the type chart and evolution stage. Shared types generate positive reactions, not very effective relations generate a more modest reaction to the NPC, super effective relations generate a more intimidating reaction to the NPC, and having an evolution stage that's closer to the stage of the interviewee creates a more positive reaction, while having very different evolution stages generations a more negative reaction. Being the same species as part of the same evolution line (like a Raichu talking to a Pichu) automatically creates a very positive reaction.

So not sharing a type won't have as big of an impact as last time. The catch? You don't know who's going to react better to modesty or to intimidation until you try.
._. It all sounds so complicated. How do you remember it all?

You can keep going back to the thread to refresh your memory. :] It's just like in any game. It looks pretty detailed to start with, but the further in you get, the easier it becomes and the easier you can remember things.

Feel free to keep personal notes to help you remember!

Super effective = INTIMIDATING! Because you're going up to someone weaker than you and basically threatening them. xD
Not very effective = MODEST. Because you're approaching someone who is strong to you who could crush you if they wanted (in theory). Some NPCs might find this weak, some might find it reassuring to know that you're not being threatening.

Same type, same evolution stage, or same evolution line = Positive rapport! Yay, they recognise you or feel like they can relate to you.
Different evolution stage = Negative rapport. If they have nothing in common with you then it's generally gonna be neutral, but if you're neutral with everything and a different evolution stage, that'll bring it from neutral to negative.

No I mean, how do YOU remember it all? There's over a hundred different pokemon to interview, and each of them is going to know something different (relatively) and have their own personality. How do you keep track of all that plus what information they would or wouldn't say depending on the person interviewing them?

Oh!!! Good old Microsoft Excel. :) Having a spreadsheet allows for everything to be set out cleanly and clearly. We'll be writing the responses up on the fly, but the personalities of each NPC are documented in the spreadsheet. ^^
