No. No I can't. I can't get anything near my eyes without instinctively relaxing them closed. Even so much as putting in eye drops are an incredible pain. I can't really get through an eye exam either. The picture they take of the eye, the air puffs, the light they use to narrow down on certain areas. Nope. It's THAT difficult. Plus I'd rather just never have to deal with glasses like, ever again. My brother has 20/20 now and 20/15 in each eye (which is even better) and they say it'll only get BETTER over the next month too. He just has to continue using his eye drops as his eyes heal.

Trust me. I've tried using contacts. I can't do much as even get them IN the eye. If I did. Imagine the hardship I'd have of even getting it back out.

It's just not very good to really even joke if it's something someone really worries about. Doesn't help make them feel anymore comfortable even if it was meant as a joke. Me personally, I really care about my eyesight. I wanna do everything I can to protect it or improve it if possible without risking losing my eyesight permenantly.

I highly doubt he meant it to be hurtful, dude. That and I'm sure he knows you're concerned about this whole thing. Some people are receptive toward darker humor and others... not so much.

I know you're stressed out about this, but try to relax and take your mind off of it. When you've taken some time to refresh your mind, you'll be able to make a decision that has weighed in on the pros, cons, and risks rather than one that is based on impulse and assumption.

It used to bother me that I was putting something directly on my eye. Something about that didn't seem right.

I don't know what made me try them, but I figure it had something to do with having a really bad day with glasses. Maybe them breaking or something like that. I needed some help with contacts at first, but once they were on, it was surreal being able to see without glasses on my face.
