That means that TCG players can soon get their hands on Shiny Pokemon such as Rayquaza GX, Mewtwo GX, Charizard GX and many more. All of these cards were originally release in Japan’s Ultra Shiny back in Winter 2018.

Based on “Hidden Fates” product description, we can also tell that some cards from Japan’s mini-set Sky Legends will be in Hidden Fates. Sky Legends featured the first Tag Team GX Trio, Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno GX. “Hidden Fates” will also include cards such as Gyarados GX from the Family Box collection.

It is unsure how the Shiny cards from Ultra Shiny will handle the tournament legality for cards such as Metagross GX, Tapu Lele GX and others. Most of the Shiny Pokemon cards from Ultra Shiny will rotate on August 15th.

As mention before, one of two things will happen with the Shiny cards if printed in Hidden Fates. Their tournament legality will be reset and they will be in format for another two years. The other option is that they are printed within the set with a Yellow A and their original set logo in the corner to indicate that these are alternate art reprints.

Hidden Fates will start being release with the Mewtwo/Mew Pin Collection on 8/23/2019.
