Pokemon GO is going to chop things up for January!
Machop may have missed out on a Community Day in 2020 but it will have it’s day in 2021! That is because Machop is going to get some payback with it’s own Community Day.
Back in early 2020, Machop was one of the four Pokemon who was part of a vote to get a Community Day. Ultimately Rhyhorn was the one who won. Now it looks as if Machop is going to get it on January 16th, 2021.
Event Details
This event will run from 11:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 . It was also reveal that the special bonus will be 3x Catch Stardust bonus along side three hour Incense. Full details for the event can be found by clicking here.
There will be also plenty of Machop for trainers to capture. This will give trainers the chance to catch Shiny Machop. If you evolve your Machoke into Machamp then it will learn the Charged Attack, Payback! You will have up to two hours after Community Day to do this.

- Machop will be appearing more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
- Evolve Machoke during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Machamp that knows Payback.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
