The Klaczynski Open is the first major independent Pokemon Trading Card Game tournament will be hosted next weekend by three time Worlds TCG Champion, Jason Klaczynski. This fan-run tournament will take place on August 31, 2013 to September 1, 2013 in Tinley Park, IL at Tinley Park Convention Center.
The Pokemon TCG has never had an unofficial TCG tournament of this size in the past hosted by a fan or any organization. There will be events for all ages and the tournament will be open to all. Prizes of all kinds will be awarded to the winners such as 15th anniversary Pikachu Box, boxes of Plasma Blast and an invitation to the 2014 Top Cut Invitational. The event will be live streamed by The Top Cut.
This tournament will mirror the upcoming season format of using Next Destinies-on including Plasma Blast. The rounds will be best out of three Swiss matches which was just announced to be used by Play! Pokemon in the next season tournaments.
