Lake Spirits Are Ready to GO! And Shellos!

lake spirits
It looks as if there is something roaming around in your neighborhood!

It has been reported that the Sinnoh Lake Spirits have been seen in Pokemon GO. These Legendary Pokemon, Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf, from Sinnoh are act differently from past Legendary Pokemon that have been released in Pokemon GO.

Lake Spirits Ahoy!

Normally, Legendary Pokemon are release though Legendary Raids at gyms. Though, the Sinnoh Lake Spirits are currently being reported to be seen in the wild.

The reports are still coming in but it seems like Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf are being found in certain regions. Those in the Americans are reporting to see Azelf. Meanwhile, Uxie is being round in the Asia-Pacific. Lastly, Mesprit is being spotted in Europe. Nothing is certain at the moment. Also, it is worth noting that the Lake Spirits are being spotted near large bodies of water such as lakes.

The Lake Spirits are said to be some of the hardest Pokemon to catch in Pokemon GO at the moment. They all have a 1% catch rate. if you use a Razz Berry and an Ultra Ball then the catch rate will become 7%. Though, if you do catch one of the Lake Spirits then their CP will be locked to a certain number for all trainers. Azelf is being captured with 1967 CP, Mesprit has 658 CP and Uxie has 1266 CP.

This is certainly an interesting way to release Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf into Pokemon GO. It is bucking the trend of having Legendary Pokemon being release via Raids. Most people, including myself, thought that the Lake Spirits would have been our Summer Raid Bosses. It turns out that Niantic has other plans. Especially because they just hinted that the Lake Spirits are coming and suddenly this was done. Who knows if this will be the only way to capture the Lake Spirits. Though, best of luck to those who spot and capture one.

Shellos in the Wild!

It has also been reported that Shellos has also been spotted in the wild. Reports are still coming in but it seems like Shellos’s appearance will depend on where you are located. East Shellos (Blue) is being limited to the Americas. Meanwhile, West Shellos (Pink) can be found in the reminder of the world.

Please note, none of this has been confirmed.

Lastly, as part of reaching Niantic’s Earth Day Goals, Trainers can now see the return of Groudon in Level 5 Legendary Raids. Also, Shiny Diglett can now be found in the game. There has also been a shake up in Raid Bosses to match.

Best of luck in catching!
