Welcome to Lake’s Valor very first newsletter hosted here on the wonderful Pokémon Crossroads! Before we move on the Lake Valor staff would like to personally thank HKim for providing us with the opportunity to showcase some of our many events and community happenings here on PXR. It truly is a pleasure.
Without further ado, let’s move on to something many Lake Valor community regulars have been excited about..
Valoriadex: Lake Valor’s Fakedex
Our Valoriadex is an ongoing project grabbing the attention of many members since its introduction.
The main goal of the Valoriadex is to bring creative minds together to complete one large, fan-made fakedex. This project offers a wide range of methods to contribute be it through digital and traditional artwork, spriting, and even writing as well as sharing ideas amongst others options. If you find yourself interested in absolutely any of these fields we highly encourage you to participate – not only will you be furthering your skills but you might just discover a new, underlying talent along the way.
The project has thus far accepted several designs, ideas, and more from our users but we still have a long way to go… that is where you can come in.
We are currently accepting submissions for a grass-type starter so don’t hold back; put on that thinking cap and get to it. Voting is also currently taking place for the design of our pixie-inspired legendary as well as the name of the starting town.
Looking to contribute? The Valoriadex is always on the lookout for people interested in lending us a hand to create the ultimate fakedex and are happy to accept entries of drawn Pokémon designs (both non-pixel and pixel entries are accepted), written descriptions of Pokémon or human characters, and even suggestions on possible stats, abilities, and moves or movesets.
