Because the code is global, it doesn’t matter what region of the world you’re in, so have at it. The only thing is because Mewtwo isn’t in the wild in Sun and Moon, you’re going to need to bring it in through Pokémon Bank via the Poké Transporter from earlier Pokémon games. Just as a forewarning, the Pokémon lose their items in the his process.
In case you haven’t used codes before, here’s a quick rundown.
- First, select “Mystery Gift” on the main menu.
- Then choose “Receive Gift.
- Select “Get with Code/Password” and then “Yes” and then “Yes” again to complete the Internet connection.
- Enter the Code. Again, it’s M2DESCENT.
- Wait until you get the Mega Stones.
- Once that’s done, speak to the deliveryman in any Pokémon Center to acquire the Mega Stones.
- Then, save your game.
