Hungama TV, the channel that recently relaunched the Pokemon anime series in India, has gone viral. In its first week of sponsoring the show, the channel garnered 489 TVTs and earned a #1 ranking in total TV for all Hindi-speaking children.
Since its launch in May 2014, it has reached out to nearly 100 million individuals, of which only about 1/3 are kids. The series has aired since every weekday at 1 p.m., and already the first two seasons have been aired in their entirety.
Dream Theatre also plans to license and produce Pokemon products in India and South Asia.
