Pikachu & Eevee Balloon
Thanksgiving is around the corner!

Which means the holiday season is coming! And the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade! Once again Pokemon will be taking part in the holiday parade with their Pikachu & Eevee Sled balloon!

Below is what Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing at The Pokémon Company International, had to say.

“Pokémon has delighted fans as part of the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for over 20 years, and we’re honored to be back again in 2023, kicking off the holiday festivities at New York City’s most quintessential event of the season. Parade-goers and viewers at home can look forward to ushering in the holiday season with Pokémon as Pikachu and Eevee float along the backdrop of Manhattan’s autumnal skies.”

About Pokemon and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

Pokemon has been a mainstay in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Pikachu made their first appearance in the iconic parade back in 2001 with a simple balloon. Since then the balloon has evolved into different variations and become more festive. This current version of the balloon has Pikachu joined by Eevee as they ride a Pokeball inspired sled to welcome the Christmas holidays.

The 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade will be Pokemon’s 23rd appearance. This year the Pikachu & Eevee balloon will be joined by several other icons such as Goku, Bluey and the introduction of Luffy from One Piece.

Make sure to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on NBC and stream on Peacock on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023 to catch Pikachu & Eevee to welcome in the holiday season. Check local listings for details.
