Details for the upcoming Pokemon GO Safari Zone and Exclusive Passes have been released!
Pokemon GO players in Europe will finally get their Safari Zone events which were previously canceled or postpone back in July.
Starting on September 16, Pokemon GO Trainers can head to Unibail-Rodamco Shopping Centers located in CentrO in Oberhausen,Germany, Les Quatre Temps in Paris, France and La Maquinista in Barcelona, Spain. These locations will host Safari Zones where players can take part in the follow activities.
- Receive special 2 km Eggs from the various PokeStops found at each of these shopping centers.
- Take advantage of Lures that will be activated all day at each PokeStop at the event.
- Enjoy higher spawn rates of rare Pokemon such as Kangaskhan, Chansey, Larvitar, Shiny Pikachu, Shiny Magikarp, and various forms of Unown.
- Get a special in-game medal and an in-real-life “Trainer Kit”.
- Meet and catch up with your fellow trainers in team lounges.
There have been new dates and locations have been added for Pokemon GO Safari Zone event.

- Mall of Scandinavia—Stockholm, Sweden
- Stadshart Amstelveen—Amstelveen, The Netherlands
If you wish to participate in these events, players will receive free tickets for the event. These tickets will allow players to use a QR code to fully take part in the event. Those who are unable to receive a QR code are welcome to catch some of the Safari Zone Pokemon that can be found throughout the city. Players can receive information about reserving a ticket visiting the participating shopping centers’ official Facebook page.
Gyms and Raid Battles will be disabled at the participating shopping centers during the Safari Zone event.
Lastly, some Pokemon GO trainers have started to receive Exclusive Raid Passes for an Exclusive Raid. This pass is for the Water, Precious Water Gym that is located close to Niantic’s Seattle office. It will take place on Friday, September 7th from 6pm-8pm. It seems like this Exclusive Raid is a test to see how the game handles the new feature.
