Reinventing Play: Pokémon GO
Why we love it: Throughout the year, Pokémon GO made a flurry of innovative adjustments enabling players to continue exploring its wild world—even if they couldn’t venture out to do it.

It is certainly true that Pokemon GO had to make plenty of changes in 2020 due to COVID. All of it to ensure that players can play from home without venturing into the big world.

They have done this by implementing Remote Raiding to allow players to raid from home. You have seen the introduction of Stickers so that way players can make Gifts much more personal when sending to friends. The walking requirement to battle against other players has been dropped. Then most recently Pokemon GO is experimenting with remote trading for players.

Overall, Pokemon Trainers from around the world are enjoy their experiences. May it be from catching or battling! Players could enjoy remote play while still keeping true to Niantic and Pokemon GO’s vision.
