After a long silence, Mewtwo finally comes out of hiding!
After a long silence about the fate of an international release for the CGI movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution, The Pokémon Company International have finally announced that the remake will hit Netflix on February 27, 2020. This release will be global, with the exception of Japan and South Korea. For many, this is the first time they will be exposed to the CGI remake after it was released solely in Japan in July, 2019.
This film is a CGI remake of the first ever Pokémon movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back. It follows largely the same plot, but with a toy-like makeover for all the characters. It is also the third movie in the alternate timeline series of Pokémon films, following The Power of Us and I Choose You! With the announcement of the fourth movie, Coco, in the alternate timeline films series, it seems only natural that the third film finally get its international release.
