Post Malone only wants to be with you for the Pokemon 25th anniversary!
When it was announced that Post Malone would be added to the P25 Music Program, the internet was a buzz with hype and speculation over what he could be singing. Some people were hoping for something up beat and catchy. I even heard requests for a PokeRap from the famed rapper. But know one could have seen this coming. Listen closely and you can hear the sweet sounds of Ecruteak City from Pokémon Gold and Silver. Following are the familiar sounds of Posty singing an even more familiar song, Only Wanna Be With You.
The song was a hit in 1995, for the band Hootie And The Blowfish, and topped several Billboard charts including Mainstream Top 40 and US Hot 100. But for some of the youth today, who may not have heard the original, this version is a great nod to a real classic.
