Well, thanks to our friends over at Japan and other resources, we got the newest information about Pokemon X & Y. Some news becomes confirmed, some new Pokémon are revealed and so on.
First and foremost, the first starter evolutions have been seen. They appear to remain pure-type and we only know their Japanese names.
Chespin’s evolution is called Hariboogu (ハリボーグ). It remains pure Grass-type and knows the move Mud Shot.
Fennekin’s evolution is called Teerunaa (テールナー). It remains pure Fire-type and knows the move Psycho Cut.
Froakie’s evolution is called Gerogashira (ゲロガシラ). It remains pure Water-type and knows the move Bounce.
We also see the two new fossil Pokémon:
The first one is called Chigorasu (チゴラス) and is Rock/Dragon type. Based on the T-Rex, it has a new ability called ‘Hard Jaw’. ‘Hard Jaw’ increases the attack power of biting moves. One of Chigorasu’s moves is Crunch.
The second one is called Amarusu (アマルス) ans is. Rock/Ice type. Based on the Diplodocus, it has a new ability called ‘Freeze Skin’. ‘Freeze Skin’ turns Normal type moves into Ice-type moves and raises their power. One of Amarusu’s moves is Aurora Beam
There the white dog pokemon some of us caught brief glimpse in Pokemon Direct is revealed to be Torimian (トリミアン). It is a Normal-type and has a new ability called Fur Coat which reduces Physical Damage. You can also customise its appearance.
Finally, the Psychic-type cat called Nyaonikusu (ニャオニクス) which has male and female appearances. Male is on the right, Female is on the left.
Its movepool varies by gender. The male is more of a supporter while the female is more of an attacker with, female Nyaonikusu knowing Extrasensory and male knowing Miracle Eye. It has Keen Eye or Infiltrator
Beyond some new Pokemon, we also have some CONFIRMED information about the Fairy type. According to this, Fairy is Super Effective on Fighting, Dark and Dragon and not effective on Fire, Poison or Steel. It also states that it is weak to Poison and Steel while resists Fighting, Dark and Bug. It is immune to Dragon.
We also hear that Steel has lost its resistance to Dark and Ghost types.
We also see some new Mega Evolutions. In fact, we see a new one for Mewtwo. THe new Mega Evolution of Mewtwo is exclusive to X and is called Mega Mewtwo X. It is Psychic/Fighting-type and has the ability Steadfast. The previous Mega Mewtwo is Mega Mewtwo Y and is exclusive to Pokémon Y. They use the items Mewtwonite X & Mewtwonite Y to Mega Evolve. We also have a Mega Garchomp with the ability Sandforce.
We also find out that you can change your hair and clothes at a Boutique and Salon respectably. The one who helps you with this is the actress Karena, whom you can also battle.
We learn that Team Flare is looking to create a beautiful world as well as the names of their five scientists: Kuseroshiki, Momiji, Bara, Akebi, Corea
In addition to this, some anime details were shown. Mega Blaziken was shown on the new anime poster, alongside Clemont and a new female.
