We are hitting the final stretch until the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon! Yet we got a bit more new news for the games!
Starter Z-Moves
Each of the Starter Pokemon have their own Z-Move that can unleash devastating damage. Each Starter Z-Move match the Pokemon perfectly and showcase their special traits. Below are the new Z-Moves.
Z-Move: Sinister Arrow Raid
Pokémon: Decidueye
Decidueye slices through the air together with a hail of arrow quills, crashing into the target before dealing the final blow with its arrows.
This Z-Move features Decidueye unleashing a furry of arrow quills as it flies into the air. You can see Decidueye soaring towards it’s foe as it does a swoop to rain arrows from above. It looks amazing as each arrow explodes into a purple smoke and leaves the foe’s heavily damaged.
Z-Move: Malicious Moonsault
Pokémon: Incineroar
With flames spouting from its flame belt, Incineroar leaps high into the sky and dives straight down onto its target.
You can see Incinearoar make a whole ring appear as the opponent is right in the middle of it. Incinearoar literally jumps into the ring as it is cover in flames and prepares to land upon it’s opponent and leave it in flames.
Z-Move: Oceanic Operetta
Pokémon: Primarina
Primarina manipulates a huge balloon using its voice, then causes it to explode over its target’s head, dealing a lot of damage.
Get ready to see a show as Primarina takes the stage. It is ready to sing a watery ballad as it drown’s the opponent with a huge balloon of water. This will be a show that you wouldn’t want to miss as long as you are not the receiving end of the attack.
New Alola Variants
Get ready to dig theese new Alola Variants as Pokemon has finally revealed Alolan Diglett and Alolan Dugtrio. These two Pokemon not only got an additional typing but also glorious hair!
Below is some information for Alolan Diglett.
Alolan Diglett
Type: Ground/Steel
Ability: Tangled Hair
The Mole Pokémon Alolan Diglett live near volcanic areas, so they have few places to hide themselves away. It’s said they developed the hairlike metallic whiskers which grow from the top of their heads as a survival mechanism for the hostile volcanic environment. Their whiskers enable them to sense surrounding areas without exposing their face above ground. Alolan Diglett can have the Tangling Hair Ability, which is a new Ability that no other Pokémon has previously had. With the Tangling Hair Ability, opponents that hit this Pokémon with a move that makes direct contact will have their speed lowered by 1.
Alolan Dugtrio
Type: Ground/Steel
Ability: Tangled Hair
Alolan Dugtrio is the evolved form of Alolan Diglett. Alolan Dugtrio’s whiskers grow throughout its life at a very slow rate, shining with a brilliance akin to that of golden hair. In the Alola region, this Pokémon is revered as an incarnation of the god of the land, and it’s treated with great importance. Removing any of this Pokémon’s whiskers is strictly prohibited. There is a superstitious belief that many Alolan Dugtrio come out of their burrows on a day when a volcano will erupt.
New Ultra Beasts
Two new Ultra Beasts were revealed today. These two look powerful and could cause trouble for trainers who are traveling Alola.
UB-05 Glutton
This beast has an astounding appetite, and it will completely devour anything in front of its eyes. It’s said that it devours not only objects, but the ground, rivers, and even the seas. There is a belief that it converts the abnormal amount it eats entirely into energy to sustain itself, leaving no waste product behind. Whether this is true or not is a mystery.
UB-03 Lighting
Another of the Ultra Beasts is known as UB-03 Lighting. More will be revealed during the players’ adventures around the Alola region.
Special Distributions
Those who get the game early are going to get several special distributions.
If you live in Europe then you can acquire Magearna via the Pokémon TV app from December 6th. Once you scan the QR code then you can download Magearna into your Pokemon Sun and Moon game.
If you get Pokemon Sun and Moon and connect to the internet between November 2016 and January 11th, 2017 then you can download a special Munchlax and a Snorlium Z via the Mystery Gift function.
Lastly, those who started their adventure in Alola early by playing the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version can download a special Pokemon too! Players can download their Greninja from the demo which can become Ash-Greninja. They can also retrieve any items that they had received by playing the demo.
Additional Artwork
Pokemon has release some new art of Solgaleo, Lunala, and a new mysterious Pokemon. No information is known about this Pokemon. It looks like we still have plenty to discover as we start our adventure in the Alola region.
