Team Rocket to Appear in Big City Greens

Team Rocket Big City Greens
Big City better prepare for trouble! And make it double!

That is because Team Rocket’s Jessie and James are going to go on a crime spree! Well, at least two characters whose design was inspired by the famous pair from Pokemon.

In an upcoming new episode of Big City Greens, Gramma ends up taking a job as a rideshare driver. Though, her best customers ends up being a pair of thieves. It just so happen that these two thieves named Bash and Bella. These two thieves sport red and blue hair, are clad in black and give an air of confidence, poise and beauty. Do these two characters sound familiar to the pair of Jessie and James from Pokemon? Either way, you can expect nothing by hijinx from a pair like this along with what you can expect from a show like Big City Greens and Gramma.

About Big City Greens

Big City Greens is an American TV show that airs on Disney Channel and Disney XD. The show revolves around Bill Green and his two children, Cricket and Tilly. The family loses their farm in the country and have to move to Big City with his mother, Gramma. Each episode deals with a certain aspect of Big City in crazy and wacky ways.

Connections to Pokemon

The show Big City Greens also happen to have some Team Rocket ties prior to this episode. One of Big City Green’s Story Artist, Kiana Mai (@kianamaiart) is a huge Team Rocket fan. Her work has been featured on PXR before. Though, if you check out her Twitter page then you will see plenty of Rocket Trio art from future AUs to just general fun and great art involving Jessie, James and Meowth.

Also, Meowth’s Japanese voice actress, Inuko Inuyama, plays a role in the Japanese dub for Big City Greens. She plays the role of Gramma in the show. I would love to see Inuko’s reaction to Bash and Bella once she gets the chance to dub this episode for Japan.

This episode, Gramma Driver, featuring the Jessie and James inspired characters will premiere on Disney Channel on July 18th at 7PM EST.
