I'd like to interview Yandil the Smeargle, without confronting him about the words we found.

Greetings, puny mortal. Has anything 'significant' occurred in your brief, insignificant life thus far?

    Fiiiiine.
    Interview Rapport: POSITIVE
    +1 Shared Pokémon Type (Ghost)

You find that Franny works both the day and the night shift as the medical center, where she functions mainly as a nurse for both caretaking and for prepping equipment for surgical procedures. Despite the fact she works quite hard on most days, she seems to be lively and in good spirits. When you meet with her during a moment she has a bit of time to take a breather, she looks upon you fondly.

"Hi there!" Franny greets you. "You caught me at a good time! What can I help you with?"

You explain how you're trying to find more information regarding the Stalkers that are around Southwarren. She nods, looking like the police have already been here before to ask her questions. Despite it being a grim topic, she explains what she knows.

"Yeah, tell me about it," Franny sighs. "I've had to take on the role of being the center's pediatrician because Dudgel, the guy we originally had looking after the sick kids, was killed by one of them. Dudgel was such a sweet guy. Most innocent Wartortle I've ever known. I can't understand why anyone would want to hurt him. Well, it was tough to get used to it at first, but then again, we don't have too many kids around here. Turns out most Pokémon would agree an industrial town under the constant threat of murderers isn't the best place to raise a kid. Most of those families with young kids took off and headed elsewhere, but there's plenty of us that don't want to give up living here. For most of us, it's really all we have."

"I've talked to a few Pokémon about what they know of these Stalkers and there's some creepy characters around town. Vicker, for instance. That guy never talks to anyone but his wife, Muruna. She's such an angel. But Vicker... I've told Muruna she should look into divorcing him, but she's just too kind and submissive. She's always bringing up her wedding vows and that kind of thing. But do me a favor and keep an eye on Vicker. I'm usually pretty trusting and forgiving, but something isn't quite right with him. And the things he says to his wife sometimes... he should remember his vows too."

Franny then checks the time and nods. You can see her brief break period seems to be over.

"Well, I've got to head back into action," Franny tells you with a gentle smile. "I've got to help prep equipment for a surgery we're going to have tomorrow. Let me tell you, when it comes to working on fire types, trying to achieve hemostasis is such a tricky thing. All the best, Madder, it was nice meeting you!"

She then heads off, leaving you alone.

I'll search Senger Manufacturing 4-6 since the lower floors are being done already.

At night, the Senger Manufacturing plant is very quiet and not a whole lot happens during the night around this gray, L-shaped building. You figure this would be the best time to check considering the day activity and noises wouldn't break your concentration.

You decide to check through the first, second, and third floors. Inside, despite it being quiet and dark, the building is well-maintained and you see they take the sterilization process pretty seriously here and don't let it become compromised. The first floor also houses a lot of the administration offices, as well as areas for research and development, laboratory testing, and new product development. It seems as though work has been significantly set back as the situation with the Stalkers has made it difficult to develop new products. Right now, it looks like Senger is mainly trying to focus on the continuation of manufacturing current existing products and has put innovation on hold until the situation with the Stalkers gets resolved.

Most of the director offices don't seem suspicious, but you do find one that seemed to have belonged to a recently-deceased overseer of engineering, Bresh the Bronzong. It seems like someone has rummaged through his belongings, and you suspect something might have been stolen. On the desk itself, you also notice a watch, only it looks like someone deliberately smashed it, as if whoever had a grudge against Bresh knew this was a personal heirloom that would have him turning in his grave if he knew this was what happened to it.

    [Broken Watch: <Repair>]

Considering you have the repair skills, you piece it back together. The components aren't in too bad shape, and you're able to improvise enough to get it back up and running. May not be good as new, but good as in it runs again and you figure the spirit of Bresh can now rest easy.

Item [Bresh's Watch] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You're not sure if there's another secret behind the watch that someone wanted to conceal by breaking it, but for now, you decide holding onto it would be best in case whoever did this comes back.

After checking out the second and third floors, you don't really find anything significant that stands out. It seems this particular area has been safe from the Stalkers for now, but as you know from experience, that can change in a heartbeat.

You decide to then head back to base.

    LOL @ "Modesty"

One of the first things that strikes you as obvious when it comes to Yandil is that he constantly seems to be rushing and working and is about as Type A as a living creature could possibly get. Even the fact you decide to take a few minutes of his time for a conversation seems to get his stress racing in that it's taking time away from something else he needs to get done, although you have a feeling a lot of this is self-inflicted busywork that may not even be necessary.

"Significant?" he asks, looking like that sounds ludicrous to him. "I could tell you, but it would take me days to put it all in wording. Days. No time."

You make it clear you're looking more for information regarding the Stalkers.

"Right," he nods sarcastically. "I don't even have the time to worry about them, either. You know what? If you run into one of them, do me a favor and tell them I really don't have the time to be dead, so if they could go off someone else instead, that'd be really great."

"Look, I just can't chat right now," Yandil tells you, breaking the conversation as quickly as possible. "Not ever, really. I've got ten technical reports to write tonight and it looks like it's going to be an all-nighter. And I really need to get started NOW."

He then runs off, even without saying goodbye.

    Search (11) Dwight Manufacturing
As you approached the isolated, T-shaped building that has been slightly overtaken by neglect, you can tell the building is pretty old and before, Dwight Manufacturing had decided to just work with the old floor plan rather than make modifications. At night, this place is vacant of all signs of life and the inside, just from what you can see from the old windows, looks darker than a coal mine.

You decide to check the exterior first, but besides some wall damage and indications of neglect, nothing really strikes you as usual. You decide to head inside to see what the story is from the interior.

The inside of the building isn't too bad. A cleanup crew would be helpful when it comes to cleaning up the dust bunnies, cobwebs, and other bits of loose debris, but there isn't too much significant damage. You try to flick on the lights only to find the power to this building has been shut off completely, forcing you to use your vines to use a flashlight.

It seems as though Dwight didn't see much use in trying to liquate the old manufacturing equipment even those several years back. A lot of what was around when the business was still in operation is still here and wasn't ever taken out. You figure what they left behind in terms of equipment and machinery probably isn't worth much and couldn't really be used to create anything of much value in today's age of more advanced technology. Thirty years ago this would have been a lot more lucrative but today, almost all of it is just too obsolete.

Toward the southern side of the building, you come an area that looks like it's seen a bit more activity lately. There are disturbances in the layer of dust on the concrete floor, leading you to believe someone has been here recently. You follow these signs until they lead you to a large blast furnace. It seems a little old, but you noticed someone has used it recently and it still seems to be operable.

When you take a closer look, it seems there are three mounts here, as though three objects need to be mounted here before being inserted into the incinerator. Naturally, you think it's probably just a mount molding that holds some customized ingot shape before being forged into raw material metal that could be used for some other purpose like circuit boards or machine chassis frames. However, when you shine your flashlight upon the mount a little closer, you see there's an inscription:

SEND THE CHILDREN TO THEIR FIERY DEATHS. THE PERFECT WAY TO STEP CLOSER INTO ABYSS.

It strikes you as very suspicious any mention of Abyss was found here, and you definitely take note of this macabre mechanism. You realized this mounting has nothing to do with what Dwight left behind and this is definitely some customized mechanism someone else put here.

Objective {Blast Furnace: Missing Child Mount, Missing Child Mount, Missing Child Mount} has been noted in the team records.

You're not sure exactly what kinds of "children" this machine has been modified to incinerate, but you decide to keep a lookout for this. You're also not sure what exactly will happen once this grizzly task is performed, but there's only one way to find out.

You decide to head out after making one last round throughout the building before coming to the conclusion you found the one dark secret this place seems to have been hiding.

You decide to head toward the upper floors of the Senger Manufacturing Plant to continue the search that Julia had started. These floors don't seem to be too different, though from what you see on the fourth floor, many of the research laboratories are located here. As revealed from Julia's search, the amount of ongoing research and development that Senger has done recently was cut down and only manufacturing of current products seems to be ongoing.

On the fifth floor, you realize a lot of the engineering testing and prototype building are done here but the story reminds the same. It seems like the only activity going on happens on the lower factory floors and in the administrative and office support areas. And even those places seem quiet considering most Pokémon who worked here are either dead or fled with the recent spike in Stalker-related murders.

You do find something unusual in one of the labs on the sixth floor, which seems to have been completely shut down for years, even before the Stalker incidents. Someone had been using this for storage and it seems like they were injured when some of the glassware had shattered. There is some blood and a piece of red skin, which was never cleaned up when it should have been and the proper paperwork regarding the equipment loss should have been reported. You decide to take the red skin with you, feeling it may lead to some other conclusion in time.

Pokémon Sample [Red Skin] has been added to the Team Inventory.

As you can tell, it seems as though someone had been using this area when it was supposed to be off-limits. You figure that was the reason for leaving the mess rather than report it. It will probably be some time before someone else notices it, but right now, there's bigger things going on than just this.

After checking out the last of the areas on the sixth floor, you feel you've found pretty much all there is to locate here. You decide to head back before the dawn arrives.
