Earlier this month, the YouTube uploader Mediocre Jake added a time lapse video of him recreating Pokemon HeatGold/SoulSilver’s Johto region, entirely using Minecraft.
In an interview with Polygon, he noted, “I have only built Kanto and Johto so far, but Johto was definitely the most challenging,” he said. Apparently, what made the build of the Johto region more challenging were the enhanced graphics used in HeatGold/SoulSilver, thus making the detail more exquisite.
The project, which took approximately 210 hours to plan and create, is available for download on MedioCraft.
