Which Pokemon battle is the best like nothing else ever was?
That is the one question that Sarah Natochenny (English Voice Actor for Ash in the Pokemon anime) wanted answered. She took to Twitter to find out which Pokemon battle from the anime was the favorite among fans.

Chose a variety of great fights! One of them being my favorite fights of all time (Ash & Pikachu vs Kukui & Tapu Koko). Still, all of those picks are epic fights that deserve a spot in any top ten list of best anime fights of all time.

Ash vs Paul, because the character development of Infernape come a satisfying end, and animations is the best . Both Paul and Ash had foreshadow the battle throughout the series and was indeed worth the wait, to this day Diamond and Pearl Anime is my favorite and my Childhood <3

The best fight of all of Diamond and Pearl! The capstone fight that everybody was waiting for. Ash vs Paul! And the best part being the climax of Infernape’s development. Proof that he can be great. And yes. That fight was pretty great.

Ash vs Paul was my favorite battle, I love both the English dub and Japanese dub for both Vas.
Like I always liked Paul as a rival, as he was literally anti-ash, he had gone through all of the hurdles that ash had but in his own way that contrasted with Ash's.

Ash vs sawyer. There is just something about that friendship that really made that so high stakes and so emotionally driven. Plus sawyer is great and Ash was at his greatest in kalos in my opinion (not seen last series of journeys yet)

Still Ash vs. Lt. Surge. I think it was the first battle in the anime that really felt important and showed Ash struggling and overcoming a significantly superior opponent. I always love gym battles where Ash loses and then has to regroup.
