The AC-130s/Nukes were really annoying. I never got one (didn't see the point, and my 25 kill streaks were only when it wasn't equipped) and I used to quit when they happened too. The thing that made me angriest was the connection, because a lot of people on my friends list were Americans so it's always put me in US servers and I'd have one bar the entire game!!

I stopped playing after Black Ops as well. To be honest I think I got bored of it because it gets stale after several years of solidly playing, it's very repetitive. I used to do competitive in COD4/MW2 and I guess it burned me out. My boyfriend plays it still and I sometimes watch. He enjoys it but they've implemented weird movement systems and it's a bit too fast paced for me now. Yeah, the main demographic seems to be 10 year olds who find certain offensive words absolutely hilarious :|
There were days when I'd spend the whole round just trying to be as much of a killjoy as possible and equip the Stinger to blow up everything in the sky. Really, in MW2, things got so out of hand with killstreaks. If there wasn't someone on your side to counter them, they would quickly wreck your entire team, and very often all my teammates were too lazy or didn't care to address them, so I took it upon myself to do it. And that often resulted in a lot of me getting killed in the process.

Also, as someone that managed to get the nuke three times, let me tell you, it makes your heart race. While they're annoying to get hit by, the feeling of unleashing one yourself is incredible. It makes it easy to have a love/hate relationship with them. I still feel CoD4 was the best, since there wasn't as much emphasis on killstreaks, things felt reasonable and balanced with it, and it ran pretty well and just seemed like the most fun I've had with the franchise. I also LOVED the Bloc map.

Also, I forgot, I totally did play Call of Duty: Ghosts for a short while. It definitely feels like they toned down the killstreaks in that, but after a while, people just completely stopped playing Ghosts and almost all of the game modes were completely vacant. I quickly grew tired of it and then moved onto Battlefield 4, which is incredibly epic and far superior in my opinion. I have 771 hours clocked in BF4, which probably borderlines insanity, but there are very few first person shooter games I have enjoyed more. It's fast, fun, furious, and feels like a nonstop action movie, but it does have a lot of frustrating moments/people.
