Smile MuffinLad's Poetry Build Up Corner

    A tidbit about me.
I have been writing poems for about, give or take 5 years now.
    Started writing in 2011

I learned the basics of being a poetry teacher from a woman called Amberly Laverick
and finally. I have performed 3 poetry recitals and have had my poems printed on 2000 brochures
    in my town/city.

Here is some older samples I used to write.

The Warm Touch Of Serenaded Honey
I will love you forever and a day.
If I could touch your memory, let it sing out proud!
Nonsensical and sticky is the aura surrounding me
I notice a change in the weather’s patterns
Forecasted a beautiful harmony of music
Dripping wet on my mind, sugar spun hills give out tempting offerings.
Not worth sighing away the heat, it gives a sensation of trust.
Within myself, I value the trials I must endure
An image worth keeping, long for its embrace until night comes.

    Sleepless Nights and Haunted Memories
My dreams escape me through a florescent needle
Burning crystals sink deeper into my head.
Still I stir from overbearing nightmares
It’s the scent of hopelessness in the air, the stench of failure
I repel all around me when I awaken
Lingering in the darkness, eternally lost to the desperation within.
    Savoir the last drawn breath.
My tears cannot reach you. They fade into the scenery I helped formulate.
An image of death, painted on the canvas of loneliness

    Cruelty of the Silent Curtain
Admiring the storm from a distance.
The colours torn away, lost in its own brilliance
A smile is revealed through the cracks of a wall.
Shining on a rough surface of glass.
Blinding all that meet its gaze.
I inject a wave of nausea into its skin.
To let it unfold its facade upon the world.
Merciless hymns reign in my ear
I spiral out of control, soaked in the flood of misery.
Wet and tired, I lie perfectly still
Waiting for the vultures to feed on my ripe flesh.

    Enjoy them
