Ugh, chapters. I still need to post my COR Chapter. But I'm too lazy....
·»Your focus determines your reality«·
Oh yeah. The current post was meant more to explain the mechanics rather than give explanations as to who everyone is. That's what the first chapter is for. It'll be up hopefully soon but I'm kind of sick right now so… fun.
Yeah okay, I'll give some examples.
All right here we go.Spoiler:
Me too. I've got a Spanish assessment so I can't skip class (totally skipped my 9 AM. Don't give any craps. I'll get the notes later). I'm hoping I can make it.
Oh I know. It's artificial herpes. I'm still digging it out of my phone's case and you can bet all the clothes I wore went straight to the hamper. I wasn't risking it. I did this outside though and I felt like pumpkaboo needed a bit more to make it pop so I threw in some purple because its shiny form is part purple. And the other pumpkin… I didn't know what to do so I just painted it purple then dumped an entire container of glitter on it.
You did fine, but yeah, if I ever did anything that required glitter (I haven't had that case happen for well over two decades), you'd bet I'd keep a lint roller nearby.
Also, wish me luck with this whole Halloween costume contest tonight. I'm totally doing the butterfly-winged Faerie Dragon thing and hoping I win that $500 flatscreen TV. It's a pretty cute, goofy, and mellow costume, so I'm hoping it works, but if not, heck, it's still fun to wear, even if it is a little bit of an "experience" to put it all on! Thankfully, it doesn't mean having to get on stilts or anything like that. I really don't think I could handle standing on stilts for hours and hours, so hopefully this will be enough. XD According to Best Buy, a $500 TV is about 48"-50", which is pretty good!
Once that's done, I'm heading over to another place and going for costume contest #2 in this same night. According to my dad, there's prizes to win there, also, but I don't know what exactly. We'll see.
Good luck you guys! :O I love that Pumpkaboo pumpkin, @Noblejanobii! I've always wanted to try carving a pumpkin, but it looks really difficult. Also Halloween is not really a thing here (no matter how hard the shops try to make it one). xD
What a bust.
I got there early and it was pretty quiet, but people really liked my faerie dragon costume (I went by the alias Puff the Magic Dragon). When it came judging time, the wire for the inflatable wings got snapped again (I swear, this is the third time it's happened), but I figured I'd just make due without them fully inflated. Despite that mishap, I still figured I had an extremely strong chance at winning considering I had a full-fledged mascot costume while no one really had anything even close to that. Meanwhile, the DJ there totally thought I had the best costume (he was a pretty cool guy and tried to get people excited despite the place being pretty quiet that night). Still, I spent the whole night trying to be a good sport by dancing and being the most active person there the entire night. Let me tell you, dancing in a mascot costume gets HOT. I figured it would be worth it, though.
Instead, the judges give it to some weird girl in a typical, easily-brought-off-Amazon Cinderella costume. They totally didn't take the judging seriously and weren't fair about it at all. The first guy gave me a 7, the second guy gave me an 8, and the last guy gave me a ?. Oh no, then he changed it to a 7. Huh? So, 23 in total. I figured maybe they were just using a very tight-fisted system or rubric where nobody gets perfect 10s, so I didn't think anything of it at first. Then, people in average, run of the mill costumes went up. ALL of them got scores higher than me. ALL OF THEM. What. the. hell. Some of them even got an 11/10 score which made it clear this was just some very lame and stupid joke.
I was going to buy a drink and grab dinner there, and I'm glad I didn't. I didn't even stick around to pick up a free t-shirt. I wouldn't even want to wipe my butt with it.
