Thanks, that's totally okay. I figured you were busy and while I appreciate responses, I don't necessarily expect them.

Call it madness or insanity, but I'm trying to stay positive and optimistic. I'm hoping he does a great job. I'm really hoping that he proves the naysayers wrong, he makes the best use of this chance and opportunity for America, and he makes a great, positive mark for this country that can be looked positively on throughout history.

His track record may be chaotic and his Twitter tweets may be facepalm-inducing, but I'm hoping he gets professional about this, keeps true to his promises to make America great again, and does a good job that reassures everyone that the right choice was made here.

I feel deep inside, regardless of how everyone voted, I'm sure they wish for the same.

We discussed it in my international relations class today and it seems like most world leaders agree with you, Neo. For the most part, everyone except Germany has tried to act cordially when congratulating Trump. The German Prime Minister, not so much, but given what he said to her when she won Woman of the Year... yeah she's entitled to it.

The one thing I'm worried about is that this could be another step down the slippery slope towards the breaking up of the EU. Someone in my class pointed out that since Trump got elected, approval ratings for people running in France and Austria that are similar to him have gone up. Now I don't know how true this is but from what I gathered it sounds like if these two get elected, the EU is about as good as dead.

Again, with what just happened regarding the stock market, I hope it's just initial hysteria that quickly gets shrugged off and pushed aside. But I can honestly say I don't know. I'm not really well-versed in politics so I can only drop a hopeful and optimistic "maybe everything will be okay" and that's about it.

It would be a shame to see the EU break apart though when so much work was done to put it into action...

The stock market tends to reflect people's fears and such. I think as everything settles the stock market will settle too. I'm not well-versed in economics though so who knows.

Yeah, I'm not saying it will, but signs are pointing to it.

And it was that initial fear that caused it to start dropping. Once it was noticed and announced live? That only caused it to plummet more since it was being seen actually happening. Inducing more fear into everyone's minds as it happens. Fear only creates more fear. It's a mind game a lot, but something we all need to keep on our minds for the future.

    The time is upon us...

Yeah I mean once the BREXIT kind of settled down it evened out all the stock losses that resulted from that scare.

As someone who has studied economics, you're right on that one. Eventually things go back to the equilibrium state. Every now and then, you'll have slight deviations like in this example, Brexit, and things like that, but it won't shatter the economy overnight. Some people just tend to be extremely impulsive on things and act based on momentary hysteria. If things like that make a person impulsively sell their stocks like that, they probably shouldn't have been investing in the first place.

If I was rich, I would have loaded up on stocks when they hit the bottom. xD But they're already stabilising now.

Still everyone around here is just in a state of disbelief... I wouldn't be surprised if Trump has a mental breakdown when he realises all the things he promises are actually impossible and he will now have the uh... lovely people who supported him coming after him instead. xD I doubt he ever expected to actually be president.

I just read that if Trump imposes his 45% tariff on stuff from China, then Walmart will be out of business, which is apparently the largest US employer. And the US would go into recession by 2019. Sooo yeah I don't think that's gonna happen.
