Every hero offers a different way to help the team, and even if one hero doesn't quite feel right for you, try the others! I'll easily admit there are some heroes I'm just terrible at (here's looking at you, Junkrat!), but there's plenty of others that I can do well with.

In the meantime, Overwatch kind of has a rock, paper, scissors thing going on (or like the Pokemon type chart) where one hero will overpower another, but then not do well against a third. And that's there the teamwork component comes into play. If you work together to employ all of strengths of your heroes and overcome their weaknesses, you'll do great.

But overall, just have fun with it! Sometimes I like to play Tracer even though I'm just okay with her. It's fun to pester their snipers with her and distract the enemy team. It drives people crazy. Plus who doesn't love throwing sticky bombs on Bastion in turret form? It's all good fun.
Oh...it sounds a little more forgiving then. xD Since I'm primarily on console I can't play FPS to save my life. And the few that I've tried I've been rather awful at, especially multiplayer games because the vets kill me in an instant. T^T I suppose it does help to have a team, though, and if everyone basically knows what they're doing it should be okay. Even if they aren't great. xD

I like that each player has advantages and weaknesses, too! That rounds things out a little more. I'd like to try the game honestly, just to see what all the hype is about. But I'm not going to buy it without a trial run first. I just don't know anyone that has it so I can play. xP
