Actually Type: Null is based on a chimera, firstly. Secondly, I don't see your point on how it's an angsty teen given they're synthetically made pokemon that were experimented and abused by the Aether Foundation before being forced in cryostasis until later Gladion freed two of them (his partner and the one that he gives the player later on). Are you just saying that because it has the mask and evolves by friendship because if so that's jumping to conclusions a bit quickly my friend.

I agree on your culture point though! SuMo was filled to the brim with culture! I absolutely loved it! Gyms would have never fit in with the SuMo feel, but the trials did because we didn't just shape Hawaii to be whatever we wanted it, it has its own culture and while it slowly changed overtime, it still has a lot of culture in it! Heck, Hawaii even has certain small islands that have gone completely unexplored because of cultural protections!

Probably because you weren't nuzlocking it. I like the creativity with it all, the use of the 3-D models in ways the gyms never could have. It was all so much fun. People just whine because all they think pokemon is is competitive battling, when newsflash, it's not. The trials did great in showing that.

Trust me, as a dark type specialist, I want one too, but I enjoyed the trials so much I'd take a trial over a gym any day. (I know Nihilego doesn't count, it's an ultra beast not a legendary)
