And that sucks. At my university, freshmen weren't even allowed to pledge. But then again, the sorority/fraternity scene at my college was nearly non-existent. It was pretty much a sad, silly little joke over there.

No that's not what I meant. Northern sororities and fraternities are HUGE party locations. That's all they do. It's literally the stereotype you see in movies. In the south, it's more service oriented and while there are parties it's not as much.
