I tried to be very good about handling CDs so I never really found myself needing to buy an official disc cleaner. Thankfully, they didn't get scratched up or grimy as long as we kept them in the box and carefully put them into the tray. Though if we rented a game, it was usually a different story. The last people that used it usually weren't too careful. :P

There were a couple of games we had to return because they were so damaged that they were basically unplayable.
