I FINALLY GOT A JOB OFFER!

After being unemployed for freaking 14 months, I got a nice short-term contract! It's a two-month gig, but hey, it kills the long rut of having nothing. Plus I'm hoping maybe along the way I can involved in extra stuff and maybe keep it going longer.

Finally I can buy things guilt-free again!

Congrats Neo! All that hard work will soon pay off! Plus, just cause it's 2 month contract doesn't mean they won't extend it. It's possible and helps for any future job now as well. Good on you, Neo! Hope it pays off!

I am applying to another Yogurt shoppe tomorrow, Freeze Frame. The manager was happy that i have prior experiance, and has heard about the craziness that happened at Chill by other ex-employees. It's just yogurt, so it is really easy. And hey, it's a job.

Review and audit check of design history files. It's for the same company as my last contract position, which means... I can be a bit sneaky on the resume and hide the fact there was a 14-month gap between the last position and this position. That's a big one, because I get pestered about that a lot...

That's true and I HOPE they keep extending it. My plan is to find other areas where I can help out and keep the position rolling.

Thank you! Yeah, I'm hoping more extensions will be on the way. If not, hey, at least it nailed that discouraging gap in the bud. I get really anxious when I've been unemployed for long periods of time. I keep thinking of just jumping into any minimum wage position.

Odds are once they see it's what they were looking for skill wise. They will end up entending the contract. Cause two months sounds like almost a trial period. All while you and they benefit from it.

Nah, evenings and weekends are still a thing. But yeah, I won't quite have as much free time as I used to.

Hey man a job's a job. Meanwhile my school just implemented bike sharing. I'll be buying a bike chain soon so I can ride a bike to all my classes since one of the stations is right behind my dorm.
