This is a random topic, but I want to bring more creativity in music education. Learning an instrument and song on it is one thing, but I feel like writing songs is another. Right now I'm designing a little device to make writing music easier, and if I make a good prototype I might try to showcase it at the school my mom works at, which is in a poor area.

I can't give any advice, though. And while I love listening to it, making music just isn't my specialty at all. I'm more into art and writing.

I've always love music, but I could never write it. One movie I absolutely love with music is August Rush. If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and watch it. It even has Robin Williams playing a character in it. A slightly different way than you usually see him too. I love the music in that movie and it's so inspirational! I wish I could write music or play it better than I can now. It's tough even playing by ear. Though I still try on PMD music

@Bulbasaur thing is. If you like how it turns out and wind up wanting to make more to sell it and you even have a slight urge to even THINK it might be popular and take off. Patent it. Learn from the mistake the lady who originally made the Fidget Spinner made. She didn't patent it and someone took her idea and is making millions now.
