It was mainly just a prank. You're definitely taking this way too seriously. Really, if a silly little black-eye GIF does this much damage, how do you survive watching youtube videos and movies that have unexpected things like this? I honestly feel this is really mild compared to a lot of the other stuff I've seen on the internet, in games, and in movies. Anyway, I deactivated it and just made it a still image. I'll admit, it doesn't have the kind of unsettling and freaky effect I wanted to create anymore, but ultimately, I don't want you to be salty about this either.
I'll be honest, the black eye thing was inspired from Undertale if you're really wondering where this all came about. I'm sure most people who have played that game know exactly what part I'm talking about, but I'm not saying anything about it because spoilers. And yet, most people that saw it were surprised, but they sure didn't lash out at the game's creator like you're doing right now. But really, this is very, very mild compared to what some games like Five Nights at Freddy's, Resident Evil, and Silent Hill do. Please don't tell me you can play stuff like that unfazed but a silly little GIF like this causes a panic attack.
Okay, you already knew Senia was Epitaph. Heck, according to my gameplay layout, you guys got through all of her puzzles, worked it out perfectly, and got to the end where you were given the very obvious evidence she was behind it. There was actually nothing left to cover on her route. So when I saw you decide to interview her and even show her the note you found in her deranged slaughterhouse to rub it in her face, immediately I thought "WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT!?" That was asking for a heap of trouble, especially given everything you know about her! She wouldn't rat out the other Stalkers if that's what you were thinking and were hoping for. Why would she? What good would it do for her? But then to top it all off, you flaunted the fact that I made it almost impossible for player characters to die, and you honestly acted kind of arrogantly about it in a way that it implied it was a mistake to make characters immune to consequences from making bad decisions like this. Most video games would nail you for doing that!
I dunno, to me, this wasn't very smart and was kind of abusing things. I felt it would have felt too artificial to not do at least a little something that said "hey, you might want to rethink doing something like that again!" Heck, it totally seems bizarre Senia doesn't just kill you right then and there, but I can't have that happen now, can I? So I thought heh, let me make a slightly creepy GIF of an Aromatisse to AT LEAST make it clear doing what you did was a terrible idea to at least avoid having people go wily nilly around the Stalkers doing things that would piss them off but then laugh at the fact the game's context bars them from actually making a realistic consequence take place. I mean really, there's no sound to it, it's only a few frames long, and the Aromatisse isn't even animated, it's just a few quick frames where I blacked out her eyes. I didn't even include the blood like I did with the Aglome Oen thing. Trust me... there's much, much worse out there, but calling me "rude" and "harmful" for doing what most people seem to tolerate just fine is overreacting.
Look, I'll quit it with the black eye stuff, but with this said, I really need to know what kinds of horror-related things you're sensitive to so this doesn't happen over and over again and makes you salty about it each and every time it happens. Yes, I use creepy images and animations to help boost the game's effect and immersion. I think people would agree that removing those from the game would diminish the quality of it.
