Road Rage

Do you get road rage? xD What at? How often? How badly?

I do have road rage...which is probably not my best quality. XD I haaaate when people drive slowly and when people don't pay attention. Also when I'm sitting on the speed limit (a.k.a. not speeding) but the idiot behind me thinks that I should be doing 10km over, so they sit on my tail like a moron. It annoys me when people can't merge, can't use their indicators, brake WAY too early, and omg, the worst one: RBD. Random Braking Disorder. WHEN THEY BRAKE LIKE EVERY TWO SECONDS FOR NO REASON. And you're stuck behind them. x__x There's plenty more to add to that list, but those are the top ones.

I enjoy driving, but other drivers make me dislike it. My favourite time to drive is after 12am when there's nobody on the road.

I get a bit of road rage here and there. Usually I'm pretty calm, but I have days where if things get really bad, my not so nice side comes out. Today, I got into a whopping four traffic jams and it took me an extra hour and a half to get where we wanted to go. Out came the bitter little bunny in me.

Driving would be great if there weren't any other drivers! But, I still have people cutting me off, people merging with the intelligence of bat guano, and yes, I see enormous amounts of Random Braking Disorder.

I hate yellow lights. The amount of time they last is always unknown and they come out of nowhere. And they ALWAYS get me right at that moment where I can't decide to stop or keep going. I'm also not sure if someone is tailgating me either, so stopping at them might mean the people behind me end up bashing me in the rear.

I. Can. Relate. The amber light thing is so relatable, oh my gosh. RIGHT when it's a bad time to slam on the brakes or to keep going! So frustrating! Unless you know the lights really well, it can be so difficult to judge.

And holy mew, a whole extra hour and a half? Man. I would have died from a rage overload.

I have road rage. I get excited when people do stupid things because I get to beep my horn which is really fun! :D

What makes me most mad is when people try and be sneaky to cut ahead in traffic. Like driving down the less busy lane and then pushing in into the busier lane further down the road! I never let people in if they do that. Rarghhhhh!

I'm with you on the yellow lights, Neo. I always stop unless I'm going too fast. I used to do this thing in my head when I was coming to a traffic light where I say "stop stop stop" if I'm far enough away to stop if it changes, and "goooo!" If I'm not. That way I don't need to panic and decide if it does change! xD It really helped me when I first started driving so I didn't have to slam on my brakes in panic haha.

Also with Xanthe that slow people are annoying but also speeding people are more annoying! I used to get nervous and feel pressured to speed up when people tailgated me. Now I just laugh and kind of feel tempted to slam on my brakes. xD Literally everyone speeds and there is so much peer pressure. D:

I don't really road rage, but I do yell in my car at other people when they're being dumb (mostly for dramatic/comedic effect when others are in the car). When people screw up, I usually think, "haha i cant drive either i understand"

I think you listed everything I hate the most, Xanthe. XD I don't outwardly swear, but I have a mini fit of rage going on inside my head every time some idiot does something stupid. One of the WORST things here in the city is people pulling out in front of you. I cannot count how many near misses I've had cause some jerk got impatient and thought it was okay to pull out in front of me while I'm going the exact speed limit.

OH, OH. You know what I also hate? Those people that do 100km in an 80km zone, and then 80km in a 100km zone. LIKE DUDE. GO THE SPEED LIMIT. It just means they overtake me and then I have to overtake them again later. ;O; WHY. Also that Random Braking Disorder. OH. MY. GOD. I get so scared staying behind those people I will switch lanes. xD I still think half the people who have their license aren't even aware their car comes with indicators.

Aha, Sarah, I'm still at the nervous stage when people tailgate me. I'll speed up hoping they go away. D: Sometimes I'll smirk and slow down, though. And be like: TAKE THAT, *****ES. XD

WHEN PEOPLE GO 100 IN An 80 ZONE AND THEN 80 IN A 100 ZONE. DON'T. LIKE. THAT GETS ME. XD I remember being with my brother around these fun bendy (but semi-dangerous) roads and this one MORON would go 80 in a 100 zone but then stay at 80 in the 60 zone. Like. Are you stupid? Yes. Yes is the answer. It's like they think going 80 the whole time evens it out. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.

Same with me about people tailgating me, but now I just get annoyed and I'm like "that stupid IDIOT up my butt who can't read signs." xD I always rage inside my car, but never outside. I don't beep my horn a lot either; mostly I do it when people sit there at a green light and DON'T MOVE mostly because they're dumb and on their phones or something. xD One lady full-on pulled on me the other day; I was driving along, and she emerged from the left because she wanted to turn right (so obvs had to wait for the right AND left side of the road to be clear), and so she came out of the driveway...and just stopped in the middle of my lane waiting for the other side to be clear. She was ancient though, so I just slowed down to a near-stop and didn't bother beeping because she already looked so distraught at her own stupidity, but hadn't even been looking in my direction the whole time. If I had been further up, she probably would have pulled out directly into my car.

The OTHER other day, I was driving along next to a parking strip because there were a bunch of shops. Some STUPID LADY had just parked and opened her door as I was driving past, and I saw her from my peripherals and swerved basically onto the other side of the road to avoid her (if there had been a car, I'd have hit it). I was so shocked at having to react so quickly (luckily succeeding so thanks video games for quick reflexes! xD) that I didn't get a chance to beep, but as I drove off, SHE DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THAT SHE HAD OPENED HER DOOR AS I WAS DRIVING BY and just carried on with her day like an oblivious idiot. Like, no, "Oh my god I nearly killed myself and hit that car with my door." There was no response. She hadn't even noticed. UGH!

OH we have those fun, bendy, dangerous roads out near where I live. Sometimes I take the back way home from work if the traffic is particularly bad, but I don't like those roads so I often avoid them. I KNOW. I'm like, "how on EARTH do you think that evens anything out?!". I'm sitting in my car just hoping the cops will pull them over. xD

Yeeeeeah I rage in my car when there's no one with me. :p I'm a little quieter when I've got a passenger though. They might think I'm crazy otherwise. XD I don't think I EVER beep my horn. Like even when I should. It's kinda as though I forget it's even there until AFTER the situation occurs when I need to use it. Haha, oops. The only time I've done it is at red lights when people don't moooooooove, yup. Haha, aww, poor old lady. Sometimes you can't be angry at them cause they're a little senile. But those other jerks... >o>

OH MY GOD, XANTHE. O: That must have given you quite a shock! I always stick pretty far out when going past parked cars. I've never had one open the door on me, but I've had a couple almost reverse straight out into me. One was when I was with my driving instructor when I was still on my L plates. I've just slammed on the breaks and she's gone to press the horn (cause I totally forgot it was there XD). Good on you for fast reflexes, though! I hope mine are as good.. And I cannot BELIEVE she didn't even notice you were there! I ALWAYS check my mirrors and such before opening the door of my car, just to be safe.
