Words that ALWAYS mess with you

I cannot spell 'manoeuvre' for the life of me. Granted, it's spelled as maneuver to Americans, which is a lot easier given that there aren't three vowels in a row, but someone who helped create spelling decided it was a brilliant idea to throw in an O into random words completely unnecessarily. The U I get (favourite, colour, parlour, etc), but random Os? No. Like. Just why. No wonder Americans took them out. They're dumb. Foetus? Oestrogen? MANOEUVRE?!?!? Come on.

But yes, that's one word I have never been able to spell. Without fail, I get it wrong every time unless I've just looked up the correct spelling. xD Sometimes other words I mess up are where it could be an a, but it's an e. Or vice versa.

Are there any words that just mess with you every time, despite how diligently you try to get them right? I used to have it with privilege (I'd always throw in a d), but I overcame that. XD

Convenience. Definitely not a convenient word to use. It's long and it's spelling can mess with you. :P

I'm generally okay with spelling - it's mainly just silly mistakes when I'm stressed. Things like necessary which I can spell normally, but becomes neccessarry when I'm not thinking straight!! Also I have an annoying tendency to get d/b/p/q mixed up.

I'm actually worse at speaking, there are some words that I just cannot say. Like psychoanalysis - something I should definitely be able to say as a psychology student, but somehow it always comes out as "psychoalanis" which is obviously so painfully wrong. It's very embarrassing :~(

I do quite well. I can even grace supercalifragalisticexpealadoeshits. I was an English Major, though I do butcher my delivery at times. Sumtimz I speak lik diz fam, tu proof a point...it hurts my head lmao.

There may be a couple words in my vernacular that I butcher, but I can't remember or haven't come in contact.

American here, random O's and U's can die in a ditch...

I always have to second guess guarantee/guard, villain, marriage and shield. I don't know why. I feel like the vowels should be switched so I spell them wrong if I'm not paying attention xD

Infinitesimal. I never remember whether or not it has two s's or not. If in my school I lost points for every time I had to spell this word right, I'd fail lots of science and math classes. XD
