20th Pokemon Movie Announcement

The title for the 20th Pokemon movie has been announced and it may be a surprise.
The Japanese TV show, Oha Suta, has revealed the title and teaser trailer for the next Pokemon movie. The 20th movie for the series will be called Pokémon I Choose You. The trailer features various landscapes and Ash putting on a hat that looks similar to the one he had when he started out twenty years ago. The poster features Ash and Pikachu looking up at a flying Ho-oh. The art style of the trailer and poster are all different from the style being used in the anime currently.
The Pokemon anime movie franchise will be celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2017. Details for the movie hasn’t been revealed but perhaps this will be a movie that retells the first saga of the anime. This may explain why a Pikachu wearing Ash’s hat could be found in the data for Pokemon Sun & Moon. Either way, this is an interesting take that the movie is doing this year.
Pokémon I Choose You will be release in Japanese theaters on July 15th 2017.
